What a weekend. To think it’s only been a couple of months since Sun Dog opened and look at how far we’ve come—wow, just WOW. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey! I’m truly moved by the support. I’m hearing your feedback and am so inspired by you all to keep things rolling. This weekend was the first of what many weekends will look like at Sun Dog.

Special shoutout to PhotoTails by Deylight Photography for another AMAZING photo day! People were pulling in before the event even started, and we had a line out the door for photos. The best part? Everyone was SO patient and thoughtful with their pups. I can’t wait to see all the pics—there might just be another photo opportunity coming your way soon!

Big thanks to Marion County West Virginia Humane Society - No Kill Shelter for bringing the dog and cat love today! I think we might’ve just found a perfect spot for some doggy field trips. What do you think—should we have puppies in the window more often?

Ya’llllll! Meet Kory aka Bubba or Chunk (the nicknames I’ve given him). This chunker joined Group Puppy Class last night and is sweeping everyone off their feet. He is a 4 month old mixed breed puppy looking for his home 🏠 after spending a night with him maybe hound/bulldog? He’s got that nose to the ground, snorty charm, and a stout, adorable stature 😍 He’s a cool little dude wanting all the cuddles. He has that puppy sparkle with a chill and curious demeanor. I’m telling you, if you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and quirky pup to brighten your life, Kory is your guy. He’s going to steal your heart in no time! 🐶💖. He’s done great with other dogs and my cat. Needs house training as any puppy does. I’m going to have a hard time letting this boy go. If interested, he’s available for adoption through the Humane Society of Harrison County. I hope to continue seeing him in training and play sessions at Sun Dog 🐶

Starting February 7th, every Friday from 6-7pm, bring your puppy out to experience the fun and socialization they need at Puppy Power Hour! 🐶

This pre-registration event is designed for puppies to safely interact with others in a controlled, small-group setting. Daycare can sometimes encourage unwanted behaviors, and dog parks can be risky, but proper play and socializing are crucial for a puppy’s development.

For just $12 per session, you’ll get the chance to socialize your puppy under your supervision. I’ll be there to oversee, but please note this is not a training event—supervision is the responsibility of the participants.
