Sometimes it just takes time, not our time their time! Miss Mavis Blu the last few days has finally been up and on her feet!! We are so very happy for her and look forward to her getting stronger and stronger as the days and weeks go by, her first surgery was toward the end of May it has been a long road and 3 surgeries for her, but she is moving and we couldn't be happier!! Thank you to our veterinarians and staff that are always willing to attempt the impossible and Thank you all so much for your love an support of our fur kids, we couldn't do it without you!!

We haven't done an update on Mavis Blu in a while, but she has been swimming, recuperating, and we are still hopeful she will regain the use of her back legs, either way she is the most wonderful sweet girl. She has a recheck at the vet the first week of august.
We would like to send a shot out to our groomers who really step up for us! They get us in and take care of the ones who need it the most! Pawsitive Vibes with Deserae and Misty in Shinnston, WV and Adrienne’s Paw Paw Spa we could not do it without you! These 3 hunks all got much need makeovers last week. Meet Ruffy. He's an adorable red piebald short-haired dachshund boy, who finds himself in need of a forever family. Ruffy is a delightful little boy, who is estimated to be around a year old, and full of all the optimism and joy of a puppy. He is very, VERY sweet, looking for cuddles and pets from his humans, and giving kisses. Everyone comments about how sweet he is, from the vet staff who cared for him during his neuter, to his foster family.
Ruffy is outgoing, but not overly pushy, being very interested in the senior dogs in his foster home, but accepting that the grouchy one doesn't want to be friends. He IS a bit pushy about food and snacks, shoving in front of the others, but that is pretty typical older puppy behavior. He can be distracted or physically restrained with no problem.
Ruffy is active and alert to all activity in the home, but has not yet demonstrated dachshund barking, other than when startled by a loud noise. He quickly warmed up to all people he met, and follows his foster humans from room to room, settling in a nearby dog bed while they are working. He enjoys exploring all the rooms, sniffing everything, and looking for possible wiener monsters.
Ruffy is up to date on shots, neutered, current on heartworm and flea/tick treatment, and ready for his next adventure. Experience with dachshunds recommended, but not required for this gorgeous boy. He is working on housebreaking, but does not mind a belly band at all, so that is recommended in the short term.
