🐶 Introducing: Doggy Day Out 🐶

Studies have shown that even just a couple of hours outside of a shelter can reduce stress levels in dogs. That's why we are thrilled to announce our new program, Doggy Day Out!

With this program, community members can help dogs work on their social skills, meet potential new owners who may not have found their way into the shelter to meet them in the first place, and give them time in peace and quiet.

Whether your Doggy Day Out is as simple as bringing the dog over to your house to hang out for a few hours, or going for an adventurous hike with them, time out of the shelter environment is essential to a dog's overall wellbeing.

Awesome news! New York state lawmakers just passed a bill that bans pet shops from selling dogs, cats, & rabbits—only allowing them to adopt out these animals if they're sourced from shelters! 🐶🐱🐰

**Found Dogs**

These two buddies were found in the area of Chadwick Manor and Dickinson Crossing, Fairport, NY on 03/26/2022. They were found with collars but no tags. Who's pups love watermelon? Mine do. Just threw these easy pupsicles in the freezer. Perfect treat for hot days. (Outdoor snack). Watermelon and plain greek yogurt blended up and poured into these silicone molds.
