Today is National Lost Dog Day 🔎

In 2024, Lollypop Farm received 324 lost dog reports. As of today, we have already received 58.

These numbers are why today is the perfect day to talk about the importance of lost pet prevention. There are several ways you can try to make sure your pet doesn't go missing. Check out these tips at lollypop.org/lostandfound under the "Lost Pet Prevention" section.

Accidents can always happen, however! If your dog does go missing, Lollypop Farm is here for you. You can always fill out a Lost Pet Report on that same page under the "I Lost My Pet" section, and we will post them on our Lollypop Spotters page. Filling out the report also ensures that if they are brought to Lollypop Farm, you will be quickly reunited. ❤️

"We had the most amazing Saturday with Lucky!

We took him to the canal for a relaxing walk and started off just sitting on the dock, people-watching. Lucky was perfectly content to hang out, he stayed sitting and just enjoying each others company! He definitely drew a lot of attention—people couldn’t resist stopping to say hi, and Lucky loved every second of that. He’d roll onto his back, asking for more love. He’s truly one of the most lovable dogs we’ve ever met!

When we started walking, Lucky did great on a loose leash. He was curious about other dogs we passed but stayed calm—no barking or reactivity at all! Even when a surprise rain shower hit, he seemed a little annoyed that his beautiful soft fur was getting wet- but he still didn’t skip a beat. We found shelter under a pavilion to dry off, and of course, Lucky continued charming everyone who passed by, and stopped more people to love on!

On the drive back to Lollypop, Lucky curled up and took a nap the whole way. We even pulled over for a bit so he could keep snoozing. Every now and then, he’d peek one eye open just to make sure we were still there, then let out a content sigh and drift right back to sleep! He loved staying close—always needing to be touching us. Car snuggles were a bit tricky, but we made it work! He rested his head in our hands and enjoyed little head scratches as he napped!

We absolutely adore Lucky. His name couldn’t be more fitting—whoever gets to adopt him will be the luckiest family ever."
