Looks like Tammy isn't pregnant. 🥺 Going to let them try again. I'm hoping to carry on Phil's legacy, since he's such a sweet little guy.

Meet Phil, my sweet little guy. He's getting older; at least 2 years old. His coat is thinning and lighter. He's a super mellow and chill little guy. 🥰

We should know by tomorrow morning if Tammy is having babies. Most Syrian hamsters give birth on the 16th day, after 6p. She could deliver tomorrow morning as well. If she doesn't deliver in this window, its unlikely that she is pregnant, but possible.

This was the old setup for the Hamster cages, but we're now going to use these cages for when we s*x and seperate the pups from their mom (Tammy). These cages are wooden, but I added a sheet of acrylic to the bottom with aquarium glue around the edges (not shown). The cages also didn't have a lock for the top opening, so I had to add latches on the sides (not shown), because hamsters are escape artists.

I removed anything that could hurt the pups, including the wheel. And I gave Tammy some clean litter to build her nest. Her due date is Thursday, 5/23. Also, I gave her some meal worms for a little extra protein. I need to adjust the water bottle to be a little lower for when the pups will start drinking too.
