Proud of our BOO!
We entered him in his first AKC trial and he qualified in all 4 elements 😍
He struggled a bit with the buried hide since it was outside near a busy road and previously another dog had a p*e accident so he was highly interested in that certain spot 🤣
BOO earned a nice 4th place in this buried search. He also placed 4th in exterior which blew my mind. Overall, he worked nicely in a whole new setting, well done sweet boy ❤️

Our Doghouse is ready for business again 😍
Thanks to my hard working husband Burt and our crew, Barry Davis, Richard Wyman and Justin Grimm, we now have beautiful new turf installed in our training facility.

Our Doghouse is now closed until November 10th.
Burt and his friends will be installing new turf at our facility, and I will be visiting my 88-year-old mother in the Netherlands 🇧🇶

We gave it another try today in Open JWW, we needed one more leg.
He got out of the weave poles a little too early ( darn tunnel) so no Qualifying round for us.
All I can say is, Dutch ran extremely well and very relaxed and that's very important to me, he actually looked like he was having FUN today 😁
I guess we are going to try this again soon, well done little man ❤️

Let’s go back to the beginning when Burt and I met in the Netherlands in 1988, he was in the Air Force stationed at Soesterberg Air Base , we fell in love, got married and started a family. Dogs were always a big part of the Cox family household. Our love for training began with the-old fashioned Obedience training of our two German Shepherds . When I started working for the Royal Dutch Kennelclub in 2001 , I got very interested in this sport called “Agility” and thank goodness Burt loved it as well.
Over the years, while living overseas, we have trained several dogs, took classes to educate ourselves and taught numerous classes at several different dog schools. We have competed in many Agility matches in National and International competitions and enjoyed every minute doing so.
In May of 2016 we moved to Girard, Pennsylvania, Burt’s old stamping ground, since then we have been competing Agility in the U.S.A. with our Border Terriers “ Lady Gaga” and “Awesome Annie”.
So far this all has been a wonderful journey for us and we are not done as far as we are concerned.
Now we are taking our next step by starting our very own dog school “‘ Something Els Dog School” the dog school with the different approach, a positive reinforcement dog training school with the Dutch touch.
Training your dog has so many advantages, it will improve your relationship with your dog, your dog will listen better, your dog will become more social, your dog will behave better inside and outside of your home, a behaviour modification for your dog ( and for you :)) and of course it is a lot of fun to work with your dog !
