Hello! I just had to share my feel good story of the week for any of you animal lovers 😊 My cat is known throughout my neighborhood and so I sent this update when people were asking where he was:

On Sunday afternoon, my Bengal cat Aslan started limping while we were out on a hike. I thought maybe he had been stung by a bee or a wasp. However, within four hours, his leg was twice the size of the other one and his breathing was becoming labored. I took him to the vet ER and by the time I got there, he was not moving his legs. They took him back right away and started him on oxygen and fluids. They told me this was more consistent with a rattlesnake bite. They said they would draw bloodwork, which would give them an idea due to the venoms effects on his blood. These results and his paralysis showed that it was a snake bite and they recommended the anti-venom which I agreed to. They kept him overnight and he was holding his own but when they called in the morning, they stated he had declined and they did not have much hope that he would survive this. They also told me the paralysis could last months and might not ever improve if he did survive. I told them I would bring him home and do what I could, but after picking him up, I didn’t know if he would even make the drive home. He could not move he could not lift his head and he was still gasping for air. I was able to give him some water with a syringe and he was able to swallow though. By the next day, his breathing was improving, but he still was very weak and could barely move. However, I should have known what would happen! Aslan is named after a lion in the chronicle of Narnia series by CS Lewis and is one tough cat. Over the next few days, he started regaining function in his front legs, and then finally yesterday his back legs. This morning he is eating, using the litter box and roaming around slowly outside again. I still am in awe that this cat survived. I did not think a cat could survive a rattlesnake bite. And although I don’t equate animals with humans, he is my family and very loved by me and all who know him. I would be devastated to lose him. But that was not to be the case this week; however, I told him he’s only got eight lives left!

I love her little chirp. 2 girls not the best pictures yet but a silver spotted and a snow. 🥳 Opal is a She is a silver mink Silvers are only born when one parent is a silver and she was bred to a brown boy. Silver is not a gene that is carried. Therefore she has to be a silver mink. 🥳🥳 Pictures and videos aren’t the best. I will get better ones I don’t like bothering her/stressing them out by taking them to get photos or better videos. 😬 I assure you they will be stunning!! 🤩

Another great testimony! If you ever wonder if 2 is more work then 1. It isn’t. It’s actually less work cause they entertain each other. I love it when families trust in me and choose to get 2! Snort and Goose are so very happy and love their humans. 💜

Litter buckets have many uses around here…from food storage, grease rags, fencing buckets, trash for tags, spring time trash for needles, water buckets for calvin, grain buckets, chicken coop nests, ANDDDD now a mailbox….you name it you can use it for that. It shall be easy for everyone to pick up their kittens now! Turn at the litterbox….you can’t miss it 🤣🤣
