Updates from the ranch:
It’s been a bit since we’ve posted. We’re surviving what I think has been the worst winter since moving down in 2019. Animals are loving it though. Hopefully get the last two waterers unthawed today and done with that for the season🙏.
We preg checked all our cows two weeks ago and got the results back this week. 36 confirmed bred out of 37 exposed! Good news for the calf crop however if you were one of our customers looking for a slaughter animal this spring, we won’t have one until summer or fall depending on how calving goes. Get your deposit in if interested; we’ll probably only have 2-4 available.
We’ll be taking a cow in this week and will have all my cut meat products available in a couple weeks. I will be undergoing another surgery (2nd of ???) in 2 weeks so depending on the recovery process, I probably won’t be attending the Farmers Market of the Ozarks until the end of March or early April. If you need something (meat, processed products, dog chews, velvet antler, … ) reach out and we can arrange pickup or delivery.
