We are set up inside the Seneca Gaming and Entertainment Building across from concessions in the nonsmoking Bingo side today at Salamanca Farmers Market, please feel free to avoid the heat and the storm by visiting us and so many other vendors.

We're all set-up in Davis Park on Homestead St., in Falconer, New York. We have a wide variety of mushrooms available here from 11:00 - 6:00, on Friday, July 12th.
We also have some fresh Chicken of the Woods and some of our farm fresh fungi at Carlberg Farm Produce.

Today was a chicken kind of day... we will have chicken of the woods as well as our fabulous farm fungi in Davis Park from 11:00 - 6:00 tomorrow, Friday, July 12th. We also plan on taking some to Carlberg Farm Produce Stand. You'll find it in the cooler with more of our farm fresh fungi, Lantern's Hollow greens, Eden Valley Creamery Cheeses and so much more!

Chanterelles are available in limited supply tomorrow, July 2nd, at Salamanca Farmers Market and Carlberg Farm Produce Stand. These unique foraged fungi have an apricot-like scent, bright orange color, and delicious flavor, but come at an increased cost. We will also have our farmed fungi available tomorrow, as well as in our summer share and Carlberg's fridge.

We went for a wander today and found these beautiful Amanita jacksonii. This shows three of their stages right in a row. Although this particular mushroom is edible, we do not collect amanitas. Jim will be at Salamanca Farmers Market tomorrow, June 25th from 11:00 - 5:00 with our farm fresh fungi.

Happy Father's Day to everyone! We were out in the woods all day looking for our next foraged fungi - chanterelles. It started with some inky caps. And then, we found them. They were just tiny buttons. They are still in the woods. We are some-of-the-few hoping for rain this week. Our farmed fungi will be at Carlberg Farm Produce from 10-6, all week in the cooler, and on Tuesday, June 18th at Salamanca Farmers Market from 11-5.

Tomorrow, June 11th, is a big day for the Barnetts. We will be in two places at once! Jim will be at Salamanca Farmers Market from 11:00 to 5:00. Emilie will be at Carlberg Farm Produce Local Food and Farm Fest for Seniors from 12:00 to 5:00. We will both have fresh mushrooms for sale and our grow kits. Jim will have all his usual treats and Emilie will also have our first summer-share of bear's head tooth and blue oysters.

We are out enjoying this beautiful Saturday, while our mushrooms are at Carlberg Farm Produce. Pictured below is a Berkeley's polypore, while edible it is not a part of our certification. Generally they have a woody texture making them a less desirable fungi. We collect a few each year to add to a mushroom broth because of a lovely black pepper-like taste they give off. Hope you're outside!
