Pick of the Litter is a pet boarding, grooming, and Jamestown stray center owned and operated by Patty Bush. It is located in the former Humane Society building on the corner of Quaint Road and Elmwood Avenue in Falconer. Patty has over 25 years of experience as a pet groomer and has a reputation for quality and reliability. When she moved to her current location, Patty was able to expand her serv

ices to include pet boarding and daycare as well as grooming for both dogs and cats. The main building and kennels sit on 4.5 acres of land, which provides them with plenty of room to run! Whether you are going on a vacation or just need someone to watch your pet for the day, call Patty, she treats all of your pets like her own. You can finally feel confident that your pet is receiving quality care while you are away!

all breed grooming with low prices. call patty for an price quote or appointment. prices vary depending on service and pet size. Strays: all strays picked up by the police or dog warden are brought to pick of the litter. if you or someone you know has lost your dog in Jamestown this is the first place you should check. only 20% of our dogs are ever returned home. they are held for 10 days then are given a rabies shot and are put up for adoption. Boarding: Cats are $10 a day. dogs are $12 a day for one dog or $10 each a day for 2+ dogs. we provide food beds treats, however you can bring your own. we will give medication to those who need it(shots pills ect.) our kennels are heated and kept at a comfortable temperature all year round. calming music is played 24/7 :) the kennels are cleaned 2X a day and dogs go outside in our yard. the yard is also cleaned 3X a day. pick up and drop off times are 7-8 am, 11am-1 pm, and 4-6pm.

This is Yogi. Yogi is a very special man. He needs to go to a home with no kids and preferably just a female. He can be a little skittish and nippy when you first meet him, but he does warm up and begin trusting, he’ll sit right with you on the couch. He is good around cats, but no other dogs. He is neutered and is UTD on vaccines.

Kitten season has been overwhelming this year. PLEASE spay and neuter your cats and don’t give kittens away for free. We have 22 kittens that all come from cats that were never spayed and let outside…if you have a cat and she gets outside, yes, she will come back pregnant, you will have kittens, and then you HAVE to make sure those kittens are all vetted before adopting them out. That’s expensive to have to pay for 5-8 surgeries…just pay for one and then your cat won’t get pregnant. These kittens are all just about ready for their surgeries and looking for their furever homes 😸 adoption fees are $150 for cats.

I’m Shadow and I really am the goodest boy around! I LOVE people, I’m friendly, and sweet! I’m a standard poodle so that means NO SHEDDING! I know commands and I’m potty trained! Please come meet me 🥹

Puppy Love

March puppies!

These love bugs were surrendered to us very recently. They are about 10 weeks old and have had their first round of vaccines. They are ready to find their furever home! But here is the thing…if you adopt one of these little cuties, we need you bring them back in 3 weeks for their next set of vaccines. And we will need you to bring them back in April/May when they’re ready for their spay/neuter surgeries. This is incredibly important! For their current health and so they have a healthy future! 🐶💜🏡 Call with interest. Always remember to spay and neuter your animals. Your female dog doesn’t get pregnant on accident. She gets pregnant because she isn’t spayed. If you’re not sure where to get your animals spayed/neutered at, reach out and we can direct you to vet clinics.

Shadow

Meet Shadow! This big guy came in as a stray and we are past the 10 day hold, which means he is looking for a family! He is very sweet, but definitely has a lot of energy, which leads us to believe he is still pretty young. We think he would do best in an only dog home, but would be willing to try a meet and greet. We will schedule his neuter surgery upon adoption.
