Sweet old girl
We are truly surprised that Sage is still in need of a home. We really want to pull her into our care but can't do that without a home to send her to. This lovely girl was a victim of a hoarder. She was rescued by a kind person who has helped nurse her to health but she cannot keep Sage.
Will you please hit your share button for Sage today, Friends? 🙏
PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED:
(in W. Washington state or Portland OR only)
"Sage" is 12 year old Spayed female sheltie or small collie, who weighs 44 pounds. What a beautiful girl she is now after rehab by a kind friend! She is housebroken, has lived with other dogs, but isn't a fan of cats. Stairs are hard for her and she probably has kidney disease developing. She needs a home to care for and about her. Old Dog Haven will pay all of her vet bills (thanks to donations) once we find a home to send her to.

Old Dog Haven has no facility or shelter, every dog we take into our care goes into a private home-a home that has been thoroughly vetted. There's a process to become a forever foster for us that includes a home visit which is why sending dogs outside of W. Washington or Portland, OR is not possible. We know this is frustrating to some but please remember, we have the dogs' best interest in mind and hope those of you who live outside of our foster area will still share our plea because you may reach someone who can foster for us!
We appreciate that so many of you want to help senior dogs. If you are not in our area, check with your local rescues and shelters about fostering or adopting. There are senior dogs (and dogs of all ages) in need everywhere.
