We had A successful Canicross and trail run today with participants coming in from Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin,Oklahoma,and of course Kansas!

Ward’s Pooch’N Prarie Run March 10th,2024

Good afternoon canicrossers and trail runners!

My name is Jacob Ward I am the Race director for our event this sunday, I just wanted to send you some event details for sunday.

State Parking Pass: every vehicle has to have a parking pass which you should be able to get as you come into the park(theres a box on the side of the road as you enter the park $5)

Restrooms: there is A bathroom shelter as you enter the park which will be A good distance from our starting line so make sure you go before your run!

Packet pickup: packet pickup starts at 7:30 am and goes until the start of the race, we will have A canopy set up with a table for you to pick up your bib and if you ordered a t-shirt which will be located near the starting line.

Race: This will be A smaller event as its our first year putting this event on, it will be a self timed/run at your own pace event so make sure you bring your watches or however you choose to record your time!

Canicross starts at 8:30am and I will start each of you one at A time with A min in between runners to give each of you some space to run with your pups!

Trail runners will start at 8:45am

We will have snacks as well as water and gatorade for you at the finish line. We will also have dog bowls with water on the course and at the start/finish line for your doggos as well!

I have attached two links to get to our event one with apple maps and another with google maps.

I have also attached a picture as to where to park close to the start/finish line, you can park along the road or in the grass!

PLEASE REMEMBER ALL DOGS ARNT FRIENDLY/SOCIABLE SO PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES AND AWAY FROM OTHERS.
