Meet Monkey. He is such a gentleman. He is top of the list for me. He just wants to be where I am and then sit in my feet. 💕 He has the cutest face that you just can’t say “no” to. Pretty much everything he does is cute. 🥰 It’s hard to believe… just 3 puppies left 🐶

I know they don’t stay little forever… but if there was a puppy I could keep little forever it would be Lydia. She loves to be held like a baby and has the cutest little face you ever did see. She is her Mamas mini-me, right down to the spotted paws. She is in the smaller side like her Mom which makes her even cuter and perfect for carrying around when you need puppy snuggles 🥰

I guess it's time to share the story of how Meeka came to join our family and farm last week.
We no doubt had some tough loses lately... Matti had to be spayed after two years of trying to breed her. Then we lost Starla and her second baby during delivery. I posted about the joy we find in this life we chose and how we feel close to God as we learn. Especially as we help raise little Ignacio (the orphan goat).
About a week after Starla died and two weeks after Matti was spayed. I received a text from the owner of Rooster 🐓 (the stud we bred Matti to). She said she had a female dog, who was a daughter of Rooster and her Mom is a red-tri like Matti. She had planned to breed her eventually but decided it would be too much to take on right now. She knew our situation with Matti, knew Matti's temperament, and felt an impression to give us this sweet girl if we wanted her.
Well, I didn't know what to say... it was either crazy 🤪 to think we could handle another dog, or maybe a blessing...🥰
We prayed for a week about it. We talked as a family and recognized that regardless of what we decided, this was definitely the Lord showing us His hand in our lives. Showing us that if we still wanted this experience, we could have it.
We decided to at least go and meet her. We figured we needed more time to figure some things out before bringing her home and didn't want to rush the decision.
We went up in Monday and fell in love with her. We tried to leave and go home, but quickly went back and got our Meeka girl.
We picked the name Meeka because Matti is named after Pocahontas real name Matoaka, Matti for short. Meeko is the name of her racoon friend in the movie... but we changed it to the feminine.
She just fits right in with all our animals here. She is sweet and a little shy 💕 We love seeing Matti and Meeka play together ❤️
We hope to breed Meeka next summer ☀️ 🐶 🐕 Very Cool genetics with blue and red Merle, red tri, black tri 😍🤩

We have a filly enclosed garden, but space is limited so we are going to try to coexist with nature 😉 we lined with stumps and plan to plant marigolds also.

We are trying corn this year and carrots in massive amounts (Maybe this will help balance out the critters). Plus, some melons and pumpkins. We have the seed starters just waiting to be planted 🌱

Two of the easiest and yummy things to make. Canning Applesauce is a great one to start with because you really can't mess it up 😆

Just nursed, one week old happy babies!! Anna is an amazing Mama!! You typically never see rabbits feeding their babies but when I was checking on babies this morning they started making noise and she came hopping over. Overfeeding can be an issue with a single, but these babies seem happy and good size... and did I mention SUPER cute 😍 💕

Our beautiful doe, Anna kindled yesterday morning and has 3 cute babies in her amazing nest. It was a tough delivery but we are happy for 3 living babies. Snack time!! Did you know you can soak your greens for your bun buns and it gives them extra hydration! We learned this recently with our first nursing mama.
