It's not often that I can sneak away for a quick weekend camping trip with one of my besties and my best camp dog, but somehow, we made it happen! 🤠

This was exactly what I needed...

Thank you all who made this happen for me because TRUST me when I tell you, it is no small feat for me to leave for a weekend trip while still running the business smoothly

But smoothly is exactly how everything went while I was gone for a couple of days! Thank you to my very small but very amazing team for all that you did to make sure all our pups and clients were safe, happy and well taken care of so I could get some much needed R&R in for a couple of days 🫶🏽

I couldn't have done it without .neurodog
and of course, my amazing and supportive man 💜

Working with Keriann and Remi was such an awesome experience 🙌🏽. These two already had a great relationship, but after we taught Keriann how to properly advocate for Remi's space and needs, their whole world opened up and they began to experience life in ways they never thought possible before. I couldn't be more proud of these two and honored to have them as cherished members of our pack 💖

The leash is just a tool....

And like any other tool, it is only as effective as the person using it.

The leash can be a tool for control. Yes, that's true.
There's a lot more to it, though, if you ask me...

When I pick up a leash, I do so with the intention of establishing connection and communication with my dogs. Control of the situation and my dogs end up just being a by-product of this slowed down and thoughtful process. My goal is to have a nice, easy, effective conversation with my dog via the leash.

When we are effective in our communication, things become clear. When things become clear, our dogs feel safe and relaxed. When our dogs feel safe and relaxed, our relationship grows stronger. When we have a strong relationship, we live a beautiful and fulfilling life together 🫶🏽
