Brian’s feeling better
We pulled Brian, a very senior dog, from Orange County shelter in Tustin California about two weeks ago. He couldn’t stand up straight, would walk in circles until his feet bled, was malnourished and dehydrated. That’s what we knew from the start, oh- and he had a pretty severe heart condition.
We pulled him non the less as he was suffering at the shelter due to the stressful environment.
Once in our hands, we discovered that he had a severe upper respiratory infection, which we have cleared up, a heart condition for which he is on heart meds and lasik for, is hard of hearing, and partially blind.
We are not trying to make a young dog out of him. We are just trying to make him more comfortable in the last year of his life.
He has a great attitude. He is vocal, demanding, and definitely knows his own mind.
Here he is at his Foster’s home with a new pep to his step.

Vida the pig update. Took this video on Mother’s Day 2024. Vida has a much better set up than where we pulled her from. She is on a diet of pig feed, fruit, and vegetables. We are very proud of what we do as a community for the community here at Paws4thought Animal Rescue in San Diego County California.

Meet our latest rescue. She was purchased as a pet and was supposed to stay small. She is now over 350 pounds and was living in Lemon Grove California in not so good situation.
She has now moved into an amazing property where her diet will no longer consist of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Beer, and Bbq. She will finally get to be a pig. Will post updates as she starts to lose weight.
She was petrified today. It took 7 of us to load her onto the mini van and drive to her new home.

Update- as of today , Saturday, no one has stepped up.
Pretty much nobody normally steps up when rescues look for fosters. People share. People pray. But almost nobody steps up.
The majority of animals you see posted on Facebook end up dead.
Something to think about!
This mama dog and her 5 puppies live in this trash truck service yard. They are in Mexicali which is 100 miles East of San Diego just south of Imperial Valley.
We want to get them out but need a foster commitment of 2 to 3 months to get the whole litter vaccinated, sterilized and adopted out.
Heavy rains are expected later tonight. Can anyone help us so we can get them out? If you can do a good deed this Holiday season and can foster them please text or call us at 619-200-8363.
