Same dog. 2 months apart. Meet Rokko aka Friday!

He gained 22 pounds, cleared his mange, had three sets of vaccines plus rabies and Bordetella, was dewormed several times, had numerous medicated baths, was treated for Erliquia, got Bravecto, had his teeth cleaned, was sterilized, and is now ready for the next chapter in his life.

He is looking for his new foster family or furever family.

He is an awesome pup who has more than paid his dues.

We take on many projects like Rokko every year.

Your support helps us help them.

Thank you and God Bless. Happy Holidays!

Bladder surgery on a ten pound chihuahua done today at our vet’s office. This pup belongs to a senior citizen who needs help with paying the vet bill. By taking the dog to our vet in Tijuana the cost was about $600 vs over $4,000 if done in the US.

If you would like to help us help the owner with the $600 she/we would greatly appreciate it.

Something to think about. Why not sponsor a street dog or a street cat for Sterization in lieu of a Christmas gift for a loved one?

Did you know that a single female dog and her offspring can lead to 67,000 dogs in just six years? In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can produce an astonishing 370,000 kittens! Spaying and neutering your pets is the only 100% effective way to prevent pet overpopulation, avoid unplanned litters and keep more homeless pets from entering shelters. If your pet hasn’t been spayed or neutered yet, we offer resources that can help. To learn more, visit sdhumane.org/spay.

It is Giving Tuesday. We wanted to thank everyone of you who have helped support us by volunteering, donating, fostering, etc…

It truly takes a village.

We helped more than 500 animals this year. Many of those 500 were in the form of medical sponsorship, free Sterization, or pet food given to those who need it.

Our main source of funding comes from actual dog adoption donations. Many of the litters we take in bring in negative revenue as the cost of taking care of the litter ends up being higher than the adoption donations received. We offset this by asking for donations , trying to fundraise, or using our own money.

Khalisse aka Lassie, was one of the numerous dogs we took in this year. You can see her at intake and then at final adoption. She now looks amazing and was adopted into a wonderful home where she has two other doggie siblings.

My name is Negar Mirgoli and I help run Paws4thought. We would appreciate any kind of support or financial assistance you can send our way.

We are a small all volunteer organization doing BIG things!! We have learned that one person CAN make a difference. No one is on payroll at our organization. Meaning all funds collected go towards the care of the animals.

Please help us continue our good work.

Don't trap if you can't accommodate this and NEVER TRAP WITHOUT A PLAN!! Animals deserve love and compassion. You need time to recover from surgery, so do they ♥️ (we don't trap during winter months unless absolutely necessary (injury etc))
Also be sure to check if a cat is lactating. Easy to tell just put trap up on two chairs, crawl underneath and look to see the belly. Don't take lactating momma's in the cold weather. Her kittens won't survive. Please be kind. Don't leave traps set overnight in the cold. Always monitor your traps and release wildlife quickly. They deserve compassion too. Just use your common sense. I've heard too many horror stories lately and it's heartbreaking.

Goat milk is best and will not cause harm to the cats.

In case anyone needs a reminder. That cats love milk is not adequate justification for purposefully giving them anything that can cause tummy, upsets and diarrhea!😿
