Peppys Smooth Talker (Baron) had his professional photo session last week. He is such a calm horse with a kind eye. Baron is standing at Pioneer Equine and in training with Les Oswald both from Oakdale California. Thank you to Kathryn and Kaleena at Pioneer Equine for getting him all groomed up and looking handsome and Thank you Rica Ann Photography for the beautiful photos. Les and Baron won money this past week at the Royal Crown Roping in Buckeye Arizona.  Videos will be posted soon. We are excited that Peppy’s Smooth Talker aka “Baron” is getting ready for 2024 breeding and futurity season. Baron is a 2019 Stallion by Smooth Talkin Style and out of Peppys Stylish Lena.

We have him standing at Pioneer Equine and is training with Les Oswald both out of Oakdale, California. Baron is a good minded and strong horse that is Royal Crown Nominated.

Les and Baron will be roping in at the Royal Crown Futurity in Buckeye Arizona on February 7th 2024. Les is heading on Baron in these videos.

Awww then there is Kenny. He sure is a treasured horse to us. Darrel and him won the Reserved Open Bridle Title at the Reno Snaffle Futurity. He hates hanging in his stall and doesn't want me to wash his face. All is wants is to get back in the arena to listen to the crowd whistle at him. Lol. Check out these prizes.

Darrel and Zach's prizes as the Reserved Champiom in the a limited Open Futurity. All of a sudden Zach is coming around fast. Zach is liking the horse show world and arises to the occasion. Melissa and Ty are going to get writers cramp following out the provided Thank you cards. Lol.

Another one of Darrel's clients stopped building houses for one day to come to Reno and show his horse. Fun to see Jess Reid joining the fun. Darrel is on Champ getting ready for the Open Bridle.

Rick Wood and Tinker are really riding as one this year. Rick won the Reserved Champion Title for the Non Pro Bridle Level 1 class and took home 5th in the Intermediate Non Pro Class. He won money and a few good prizes. Thanks Rick for your help around the stalls. Rick let Ali and Tylie show Tinker for several years at Nevada High School Rodeos and Nationals.

Wow another one of Darrel's clients did good at the Elko County Fair this weekend. Congratulations Jess Reid!

Headed back from a great time and horse show in Rapid City. The South Dakota Reined Cow Horse Association put on a wonderful horse show that ran smoothly. The people are all so friendly. Darrel has always wanted to come to this show and support his long time clients Ty and Melissa Fowler. His other Client Lanette Fry who now owns our horse Murphey and has Rojo in training with Darrel came from Montana to show.

Darrel was so excited that Lanette and Melissa did so well in their classes. Melissa kept excelling each go on her horse Stevie. Lanette and Rojo won the Non Pro Boxing Spectacular and placed 4th in the Non Pro Boxing winning some good money and a beautiful buckle.

Darrel and Champ, owned by Ty and Melissa, took home the Open Bridle Championship and won a beautiful buckle. These two are such an amazing team. Darrel can't wait to get in the show pen on Champ again. Then Darrel had a chance to finally get to show our horse Kenny. ( No he didn't let our girls take him to college lol). They placed 2nd in the Open Bridle Spectacular.

Darrel placed 13th out of 70 Snaffle Bit Horses on Zak, owned by Ty and Melissa. Zak is really coming along and improving fast.

I took over Alis and Tylie's job as Assistant to the Trainer. The boss wasn't too hard on me except made me walk/run at least 8 miles a day. Lol. But I did get to ride and assist him in the practice pen. I think I am going to like my new side job. Lol.

Reno Snaffle But Futurity is our next show here in a couple of weeks.
