As we look back at our numbers in 2024, we want to say how incredibly grateful we are for all the rescue groups who have stepped up to help our shelter.
In 2024 we took in
-979 dogs
-500 cats.

We want to thank the groups who pulled from our shelter!
Thank you to
SPCA of Northern Nevada who pulled 133 of our animals
FAWG Fallon Animal Welfare Group who pulled 109 cats
Pet Network Humane Society who pulled 41 of our animals
Churchill Animal Protection Society who pulled 40 of our animals

Res-Que who pulled 13 of our dogs

𝘼𝙑𝘼𝙄𝙇𝘼𝘽𝙇𝙀 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘼𝘿𝙊𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉!!!

This is Izzy (D-16). She is a 2 year old Cane Corso, who is playful and affectionate. Izzy loves being around people, and craves to be with her humans. We were told she is already spayed, microchipped, house trained, crate trained and leash trained. She does have separation anxiety, so would do best with someone who understands her need to be with people.
Izzy has basic commands and we were told she is good with all other dogs, unknown with cats.

This is Bruno (D-5). He is a friendly, playful and outgoing, 1 year old, Border Collie mix.
We were told that Bruno is good in a crate, already house trained, and gets along with other dogs! Bruno likes to play/chase cats, but not in a mean way.

As we wrap up December, we would like to share some Happy Adoption Day photos!

We would also like to give a giant shout out to Cranberry Cottage who helped get several animals into a home. With their generous donations, 2 cats & 9 dogs found their people! Their sponsorship filled many homes with a furry friend who has completed their family.

We would also like to give a huge shout out to The Grid Fallon for covering Oden's adoption, which ended in so many happy emotions.
We cannot thank those who adopted our animals enough, and those who helped get our animals into loving and caring homes.

This is Oso (D-866). Oso is a 2 year old Mastiff mix, who is a strong and captivating dog. He is extremely confident and will need an owner who can match his determination. It seems that Oso wants to be an only dog, and soak up ALL his persons attention. Oso loves to play and would love an active household.
Oso is the dog who was tossed out of a vehicle and found chasing after the jeep... we wish dogs could talk and tell their story, but luckily his story isn't over yet, and his next chapter is just about start...

This is Angel (D-841). We were told she is a 1 year old lab/pit mix who is very playful, and would love a yard to run and play in!
Angel is uncertain around other dogs, and for that reason, it's recommended she be an only dog.
We have noticed that Angel is a very quiet dog here, and has basic commands started.

This is Joeanna "Joe-Joe" (D-809). She's around 1.5 years old and told Pitbull/Cane Corso mix.
Johanna LOVES company of people, and will "melt" when getting attention. She's a super people submissive dog and would make and extremely loving family pet.
While Joe Joe can get along with other dogs, it is recommended she be placed into a one animal home. It seems that she gets a little jealous of her people when another animal is around..
We were told she is a good mixture of active and couch potato. She's an affectionate girl who enjoys a good car ride, and enjoys water.

This is Bayu (D-608). We were told he is a 3 year old Husky mix who is a little timid in new situations, but once he warms up is very playful.
Bayu enjoys a good car ride and is looking for his new home. He was surrendered to us in August, and just needs someone to take their time with him. He is a very loving, kind, and gentle dog... once he knows you he will be your best friend.
Bayu isn't a crawl into your lap kind of dog, but in a calm environment he might snuggle up, and willingly eat every treat you give him.

This is Scar (D-607). We were told he is a 5 year old Husky mix, who is playful and affectionate. Scar walks well on a leash, is SUPER gentle with treats, keeps his kennel clean and is waiting for his new home.
Scar was surrendered to us in August, and besides him not being a fan of kitty cats, he seems to get along with everyone. He is a loyal, friendly, boy, who loves attention, and being with his people...

𝟙𝟚𝟝 𝔻𝕒𝕪𝕤......
Two of our, sweet, loving, gentle treat taking, long termers…
Both Scar (D-607) & Bayu *pronounced bay-you* (D-608) have been patiently waiting at our shelter for 125 days now.
These two boys have continued to keep their cool, and just need someone to take a chance on them. They were owner surrenders back in August, and we have a good amount of information about them. If interested in either of these boys, please give us a call for more information.
