Here at the City of Fallon Animal Control, myself and the other Animal Control Officers, and our volunteers, strive to provide safe and humane shelter for unwanted, stray, abused and impounded animals in accordance with Nevada State regulations until a permanent home can be provided. We are also responsible for assuring the timely and effective enforcement of the City of Fallonβs municipal codes and State of Nevada Laws regarding animals within the City Limits of Fallon.

Dallas (D-559) - female, 5-6 months old, Australian Shepherd mix.
Dax (D-560) - male, 5-6 months old, Border Collie mix.

This is Pumpkin (D-562). She's right around 5 years old and a Queensland Heeler Mix. Once Pumpkin warms up, she is super affectionate and playful. We were told she is already house trained, leash trained and crate trained. Pumpkin loves to snuggle up to her person, and plays well with other dogs smaller than her. We were also told she's good with cats.

This is Charlotte (D-533). She also goes by the name of Charlie, and is only 9 months old. We were told that she is a Border Collie/Catahoula mix.
Her herding instints are strong, and would make someone a good ranch dog. Told she is fantastic around livestock, tries to herd cats, and submissive with other dogs. She is a good protector/watch dog, and will take her job seriously.

He's a quiet boy, who would love to stay all day in bed with you, or hang out while you do house hold things. We were told this guy enjoys chasing lights and bubbles! If there's a chance to be tucked into the blankets, he's all about it!
When it comes to other "siblings" in the house, it would be best for him to be an only child. He enjoys the company of older children, however, the younger kiddos scare him...

As we wrap up June we want to celebrate all the happy adoptions!
We had 18 dog adoptions, and 14 cat adoptions. We are so happy for the adopted, and the adopters. Congratulations on finding each other!

We have responded to several reports of pets being left in vehicles. During this warm season, please be mindful of your pets as they cannot handle the heat as well as we can. On a warm day, it only takes a few minutes for the inside of your vehicle to become dangerously hot. Also, be aware that the surfaces your pets walk on can get hot too and blister their feet. Please leave your pets at home where they can be cool and comfortable. Thank you...
