Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, LDCRF was able to transfer 21 dogs and 3 cats from various Virginia counties this weekend! From drivers, to foster families, to those waiting at the RCC, our volunteers are there every step of the way to make sure these animals arrive to their new homes safely.

โAfter being without a dog for almost a year (we adopted our last three dogs from shelters in New Mexico, and the last one, Nacho, lived to the age of 19!), we decided to adopt another dog from the LDCRF last week.
So hereโs a quick update on our latest addition, Ziggy. We adopted Ziggy (a 9-week, 14-pound male Feist mix) at last weekendโs LDCRF adoption event. Heโs adjusting quickly to his new home and family, making great progress with potty and crate training, and walking on a leash. He even sleeps through the night! Everyone just loves little Ziggy!โ
