Congratulations to Donna and Wyeth on completing 3/5 tests toward achieving their AKC Master Hunter title! This is a huge accomplishment, and Nick and the DeCoverly team could not be more proud of this duo!

According to the AKC, "at this level, your dog has to be under exquisite control, have near-perfect manners, show excellent marking ability, exhibit stellar teamwork on blinds, and are, in general, held to the highest standard."

DeCoverly Kennels would like to congratulate Rich Robinson and his GSP Blaze on passing the AKC Hunt Test Senior level and moving on to Masters!

Rich and Blaze have worked with DeCoverly’s upland trainer, Nick, for almost two years now. Nick is so proud of these two!

AKC Pointing Breed Hunting tests assess attributes of a pointing dog, including “display of desire, boldness, independence, speed with a useful pattern of running across difficult or confusing scent patterns to pinpoint the location of birds… bird finding ability, pointing, trainability…and in Senior and Master tests – Retrieving and Honoring. It is very important to mark good behaviors for your dog, this will build confidence for both you and them as you progress in your training. You may even see some negative behaviors start to weed themselves out!

With 16 indoor/outdoor heated and air conditioned runs and a 2 acre fenced in play yard you can trust that your pet will be well cared for at our facility.
