“I brought my Oldenburg mare Emmie to Foxhall for some aqua treadmill conditioning. She was recovering from a set of recently diagnosed, concurrent challenges – myofibrillar myopathy, a chronic sidebone fracture, an old bone bruise, and gastric ulcers – and I had been super involved in her daily care and therapy for over a year. I was a little apprehensive about leaving her in a new place with folks who didn’t know her. I needn’t have worried! Foxhall Equine is a top-shelf facility with knowledgeable and caring vets and a staff of quality horse people. Everyone I met had a great bedside manner with both horses and humans. Daily operations run like clockwork - feeding, turnout, therapy sessions - and every horse is an individual. I was there to visit every week and saw for myself the caring and attention to detail, from the office staff to the grounds crew to every person who worked with Emmie. A big plus is that it is a one-stop shop. When Emmie was due for a recheck gastroscope and a routine dental, we didn’t have to go elsewhere. Emmie and I feel like a part of the Foxhall extended family and we’d never go anywhere else for rehab!”

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Lauren Michaloski to the Foxhall Equine team in 2025! 🎉

Dr. Michaloski grew up in central Maryland, where her passion for horses began at a young age. After earning her undergraduate degree at Towson University, she pursued her veterinary education at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2025. She then completed her clinical training at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with a variety of equine patients.

With a special interest in blending traditional veterinary medicine with holistic approaches—such as acupuncture and herbal remedies—Dr. Michaloski is dedicated to providing personalized, preventative care for every horse, from beloved backyard companions to elite equine athletes. 🐴
