Pendleton County Cat Aid Network - PCCAN Caring for Cats in Pendleton County, KY

We are an organization dedicated to helping the feral cats in Pendleton County, KY. We'd love to have you!

Services include fostering kittens, transportation to UCAN and OAR in Cincinnati for spay/neuter, and more. Please note: We are just getting started! Pendleton County has a problem… and as adorable as this problem is, it needs to be fixed… literally. Feral cats and kittens don't have a place to go in our county, but there are several concerned citizens who want to change that, and you can help! We

need to build a network of people willing to help donate their time, money, transportation, or other resources. If you can help, please connect with us here and let us know!

Making a difference!

Thanks to all our great volunteers who worked together to help spay/ neuter Pendelton County pets.

This was our third S’Neuter clinic and we couldn’t do it without the support of our volunteers and Pendelton County residents.

These clinics help control the pet population in Pendleton County!

🐈‍⬛ VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED! Pendleton County has a stray cat problem! 🐈
Humane Society of Northern Kentucky Inc & Friends of the Shelter, Inc./ SPCA KY (Friends of the Shelter, Inc./ SPCA KY) are working on a solution...We’re trying to reduce the population of Community Cats (feral, stays) by spaying and neutering the ones we can catch before the kitten season booms this spring!

🗓️ Our next Spay/Neuter event is Thursday, April 13 and we need your help to trap the cat 🐈 cats and get them to our clinic. We also need help at the clinic during the day of the surgery!

If you have stray cats or can help trap them, there will be no cost to you…just bring the cats in and we will take care of the spay/neuter surgery.

NOTE: This particular event is not intended for domesticated pets.

NEED TO BORROW TRAPS AND LEARN HOW TO USE THEM? We have some available.

Haven’t posted here for a while but if anyone is feeding the cats by the athletic fields, please don’t dump bags of car food. Our feeders feed small amounts on a regular basis. We are getting complaints because of the ants and flies this “dumping “ causes.
Also our feeders don’t ever put food on or near the tables.
We are working on trapping the cats so please let the feeders care for them.

We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, give an update on what we have been doing and share our plans for 2021.

A few volunteers have trapped and transported many cats for the initial caregivers who contacted us. We appreciate all their work and this will make a big difference in the spring.

We will be contacting all the volunteers again just to verify that they are still interested and that their availability is the same.

If you are a Caregiver for community cats (feeding on a regular basis) and your colony (group) has not been spayed/neutered, please message us so that we can start a list to focus on before spring. Again, this is if you are feeding multiple cats on a consistent basis. We cannot help trap cats and return them if they are not being fed regularly.

Thanks to everyone who has been feeding the cats at the Athletic Park.
We are in the process of trapping the cats in order to get them spayed/neutered so that they don’t keep multiplying. If you could stop feeding them for a while so we can get them trapped we’d appreciate it. Believe me we will not let them go hungry.
Thanks
