37 cages have been cleaned. That’s (3) 8-hole stackers, (2) 18”x24” cages and (11) 17”x22” cages. Boy…am I pooped. Plus…1 Blue Netherland Dwarf doe (Sparkle) has left the barn, to go and live with a little boy. This is Sparkle.

3 new jrs. from Tabby’s x Dale’s litter. Born on 5/30/2023, turned 8 weeks old on 7/25/2023…Teddy’s birthday.

Bruno, my Blue Otter Sr. Netherland Dwarf buck &
Taz, my Chocolate Silver Marten Sr. Mini Rex buck are now registered to show at the Fox Valley Rabbit Club’s Spring Fling, in Fond du Lac, WI, on June 10th, 2023. Debating on either leaving early Saturday morning (the day of the show) or camping in my car (on Friday night). My car is big enough for me to sleep in (with both rows of seats down in the back), as it is a 2013 Dodge Journey that can seat 7 people. Decisions decisions.

It is officially cage cleaning day for 36 rabbits. The Netherland Dwarfs will be done first, with the bucks on the left side of the barn and the does on the right side of the barn. The feed bin will be in the back of the barn with the 2 rabbits that are 👀 for a new home to call their own, as I have no use for them.
1. Cinnamon is a Dutch mix doe with no pedigree papers.
2. Big Momma is a Broken Blue Standard Rex doe with no pedigree papers. Will post pictures of both rabbits, when I’m done cleaning cages.

This is one picture of Cinnamon. Will get better ones as soon as I can.

We’re officially getting back into Mini Rex. Come 4/1/2023, we will be breeding a Black Otter Mini Rex doe to a Chocolate Silver Marten Mini Rex buck.

We do have 1 Broken Blue Standard Rex doe that is 👀 for a new 🏡 to call her own. She does not come with a pedigree (as she never came with one). There will be a rehoming fee for her.

Here is my new addition to the Dwarf barn. This is Taz, who is a Chocolate Silver Marten Mini Rex. He is only 2 months old.

Now I’m on the hunt for a Blue Silver Marten Mini Rex doe.

Tabby’s x Dale’s kits at 2 weeks old. Hubby wanted to hold them, for their 2 week photo shoot.

These kits are from Tabby (Blue Otter doe) & Dale (Blue buck). There are 2 blues, 2 blue silver martens & 1 blue otter. These kits are NOT for sale.

Kamaria had 4 kits, 3 are DOA, 1 might not make it. She had them today, and they weren’t due until Mothers Day.

Kamaria has started pulling fur, and lined her box with it.

Yentl is sitting in her corner, next to her nest box (which she took the hay out of, and put in her corner).

Tabby is sitting out of nest box, eating her hay, which is in the nest box.

Camryn is in her nest box, which is full of hay, and only comes out of her box to eat and drink.

Screamer is pulling fur and eating her pellets.

Bon-Bon is sitting next to her nest box, looking confused.

I think everyone is wanting to get their kits born asap.

I have 4 out of 6 proven does. These 4 does are busy making their nests, and they are as follows:

Screamer, Otter-Black Sr. Doe, who was bred to Wick.
Yentl, Blue Sr. Doe, who was bred to BH1.
Kamaria, Siamese Smoke Pearl Sr. Doe, who was bred to Grumpy Pants.
Bon-Bon, Himalayan Blue Sr. Doe, who was bred to Negan.

The other 2 did not take, and they are as follows:

Camryn, Blue Sr. Doe
Tabby, Otter-Blue Sr. Doe.

All nesting cages have baby saver protection on the sides.
6 does will be going in the cages on April 27th, to get adjusted to their new surroundings.
Nesting boxes will be going in on the 4th & 5th of May.
Kindle date is on May 8th, which is Mother’s Day.
The does are as follows:
Screamer, black otter doe x Wick, blue buck.
Yentl, blue doe x BH1, blue buck.
Kamaria, Siamese Smoke Pearl doe x Grumpy Pants, blue silver marten buck.
Camryn, blue doe x Titmouse, blue buck.

Getting 6 cages ready, for 6 pregnant does. Adding protection on the outside of the cages, so kits don’t go through the wire. Will also be putting plexiglass on the inside bottom of the cage, so small feet won’t go through the bottom wire as well. The plexiglass will be lined with piddle pads and sawdust. Nest boxes will be lined with hay.

The breeding has begun, for Ruby Tuesday’s Rabbitry. Instead of 8 does, I dropped it down to 6 for April, 6 for June, and 6 for September.
