How cute are these two! Searching for homes through NJSH Pet Rescue! ❤️
Avalon, Cooper, and Duke are all sweet, handsome, perfect boys searching for foster or forever homes through NJSH Pet Rescue! ❤️🤍💙
Little Sebastian is the last one left of his litter who doesn't have a home! He's outgoing, playful, loves other cats, and is ready to move right in. He's searching for a home with another young, social cat and he promises to love his future family forever. Please reach out to Grateful Paws NJ for more information! ♥️🐈⬛♥️
Happy Mother’s Day from us! 💐💛
More babies! 🥰 Finnegan (tabby with green bandana), Sebastian (black), and Elliot (tabby with blue bandana) are looking for homes!
Finnegan is a thinker, a *little* more reserved than his brothers (but still loves to play!), and a sweet little mama's boy.
Sebastian is so silly and super social. He was the hardest to take pictures of because he was too busy playing, exploring, climbing, and being the cutest baby panther in the world.
Elliot is a tiny peanut who makes up for his little size with his big personality! He's so much fun, loves his brothers, and loves hanging with his people.
Please reach out to Grateful Paws NJ for more information! ❤️❤️❤️
There has to be someone out there for sweet Sara! She was adopted as a puppy and then returned years later to NJSH Pet Rescue (a rescue that *always* takes their dogs back if need be). Sara loves people, she's house trained, she's lovely in a home and on walks. Being 4 years old means she's through adolescense and you really know what you're going to get with her and that is a fabulous dog! I've met her - I can vouch!
Sara is searching for a home where she is the only dog. She's been able to walk and interact with a few others but she had minimal exposure growing up so her social skills are a little rusty. She's available through NJSH Pet Rescue to foster or adopt within 60 miles of Chester, NJ. And if you don't have room in your home for Sara, please share her post! 💗
This kid/cat/dog friendly perfect old man is searching for a home! Look at that eyebrow 😭
👉🏻 ALL have been adopted! 🎉
KITTENS! 😻 Unfortunately, mild winters mean kitten season comes early. Fortunately, I have a fabulous friend that’s tnr’ing a whole colony in her apartment complex and helping these babies find homes! They were born indoors and mama’s already been spayed and happily returned outside. These little ones are available through Grateful Paws NJ and they’re searching for forever homes! Penelope (female tabby), Tommy (male tuxedo), Poppy (female all black), and Toby (male tabby with white) are adorable, sweet, learning about the world, and ready to find their people. Did you know kittens are best adopted in pairs or to homes with other young, playful kitties? Who wouldn’t want a sister pair or a brother pair? Maybe a set of cute tabby’s? Or a tiny panther and her brother in a tux? Please reach out to foster mom Lauren Irshad or Grateful Paws NJ for more info! 💓
Our sweetest, most perfect, loviest, snuggliest Pine kitty was adopted! He’s been in his new home for about a month and everyone has fallen in love with him. His new mom and dad have a cat, Niko, that’s playful, affectionate, and similar in age to Pine. They were searching for a buddy that would be a good match for Niko and Pine checked all the boxes. It might have taken him a year but our Piney did it- he found the perfect home and I am so, so happy for him! 🥹❤️
Forever grateful for NJSH Pet Rescue saying yes when I asked if I could bring Pine home from the shelter!

Do you all know Maxine? Our very old, semi feral barn cat? She’s been here for 2.5 years and prefers to keep her distance from humans.
I had friends here helping with the animals recently and we noticed that Maxine had blood on her. We lured her into a puppy crate with tuna and off to the ER we went. She has a mass on her belly (that we knew about but she’s a very old lady and the goal was to let her live out her days in peace in the barn) that has a tiny ulceration and she must’ve nicked it on something. She got antibiotics, her nails cut, a couple mats shaved, and flea/tick treatment all while sedated. The vet said as long as she’s eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom, it wasn’t *totally* nuts to bring her home.
So here she is! She’s been hanging in the foster room. If this ends up being too stressful for her, I’ll move her back to the barn. If she’d like to stay in this room, she can do that too. Right now I’m working on finding a food that she loves- seniors are tough but I’m happy to be able to keep a closer eye on her and feed her all the treats she’d like for as long as she has 💗💗💗
I’ve met Sara and she is so, so lovely. Going from a home to a kennel must be so confusing for her. She desperately needs a foster. Please reach out to NJSH Pet Rescue if you can help ❤️
We are heartbroken 💔 for sweet Sara !! Yesterday she had a home - today she is homeless - we need a foster or adopter.
If you are serious please fill out an application online at njshpetrescue.org

I've met Cinnamon and she's an absolute doll! She's hoping someone will take her home for her golden years 💛
The start of September marked 2 years that these two have been in the backyard! We've had a few health issues with Mel that are now under control and a few diet changes for Marble with the help of a nutritionist (doesn't he look great! still a pony belly but not as ginormous 😅). They're great with the dogs, they're happy to take treats from anyone that comes to visit, and I still am the luckiest that I get to see Mel every day as he gets older - he turned 30 in June! ❤️
My morning was so well spent with these three! Hunter, Duke, and Cooper are all available for adoption through NJSH Pet Rescue. Please check out their Facebook, instagram, and Petfinder for more info on these boys! ❤️❤️❤️
Here is 12 seconds of Pine asking everyone how he, the most 🌟perfect🌟 cat in all of the world, is STILL waiting for a home! Pine has been with us for 7 months and not one person has considered adding him to their family. Please, please share this special boy- he deserves to find his forever home ❤️
Pine is available through NJSH Pet Rescue and can be adopted within 60 miles of Chester, NJ!
A few minutes after I took this picture last week the mailman came and all three dogs ran to the fence. Peach cried out and hobbled back to us after fully tearing what we believe was already a partially torn ACL. Luckily, a hospital in PA was able to get her in this morning for a quick consult and then right into surgery. She’s out of surgery now and did great! The vet and I both agreed that my sensitive girl would prefer to not spend the night at the hospital so we’ll be picking her up in a few hours. We’re ready for some good rest and recovery! 💕
I'm always so busy with the animals over here but I can't forget to tell the world that Mel turned 30 in June! 🥳 He's doing so well on a brand new diet and everything was totally normal in his most recent bloodwork. After 22 years together, I feel so lucky to be celebrating his 30th in our own backyard. Every night before bed I give him a soft peppermint treat (hard treats are tough on his old teeth) and thank him for being the best boy in the world. ❤️❤️❤️
Happy 4th! Stay safe! Always comfort your animals if they’re scared! 💗🎆
Pine had a fun weekend! On Sunday we had friends over with little ones- ages 2,3, and 4. He is always so happy to greet everyone. I picked him up for a snuggle on Monday and he smelled like sunscreen from all of their little hands 🥰
He’s still waiting to find a forever home! All he asks for is lots of love, people to cuddle, and another young, playful cat to pal around with. NJSH Pet Rescue adopts out within 60 miles of Chester, NJ! ❤️ 🌲
Here he is having a morning sunbathe with his mouse!

I took this on Sunday morning of Pine (left) and our Primmy- they •love• a sunny morning with the sliding door open! They’ll sunbathe for hours enjoying the breeze through the screen door. 😎 Pine is still waiting for a home! He’s 2 years old and an absolute dream kitty. We love him so much but I know his forever home is out there! He’s searching for a home within 60 miles of Chester, NJ with another young, playful cat that’ll be his best buddy! ❤️ #adoptpinekitty🌲 NJSH Pet Rescue
Pine love love LOVES his Yeowww! Catnip toys! We’ve collected almost all of them! This boy is absolute perfection. We’re still searching for a forever home with another young, playful kitty that needs a best buddy! NJSH Pet Rescue #adoptpinekitty🌲
Happy Friday from fosters Pine and Steve! This is how the boys RUN out of their bedroom every morning for breakfast! ☕️🍳🥞🧇 #TGIF NJSH Pet Rescue
My buddy Rudi is STILL waiting for a home! He’s 1-2 years old, dog friendly, loves people, loves to play- he’s the total package! Please meet Rudi and his adorable ear freckles any day from 12-5 AHS-Newark Branch! 💙 #adoptdontshop Friends of the Associated Humane Society-Newark NJ
The horses are warm and dry inside and we’re staying cozy on this rainy Friday! ☔️ #pineandsteve🧡🖤 adoptable through NJSH Pet Rescue!
“you can’t keep me down for long!” - Steve 🥰 Today Steve decided to jump over the foster room baby gate, go for an exploration, and within minutes was hanging out like he owned the place. The dogs (especially Emma) were excited and the resident kitties are pretty indifferent (a good sign!). Is this Emma/Steve duo not one of the cutest pairings you’ve ever seen?! NJSH Pet Rescue 🧡🧡
Breakfast with Steve and Pine! These boys LOVE food 🤤🍗🍣 Steve’s legs have healed! He’s been officially bandage free since last Wednesday and he’s doing great. We put away his crate last night and he’s living like a free man now! No cone, no bulky bandages, no crate rest- life is good for this sweet fluffy boy. Steve’s about 8 months old, has the cutest kitten squeak, loves to cuddle, loves other cats and dogs, and he’s getting stronger each day. He loves a movie night, snacks, playtime, and lounging near a window. Steve’s searching for a home with another young, social cat, a family (or person) that’ll play with him (and snuggle him) often, and he could absolutely live with dogs. Pine is doing great as always! He’s around 18 months old and has fully integrated himself into our home as part of the regular crew. Pine gets along perfectly with other cats, is happy to hang out with the dogs, and is friendly with everyone he meets. He’s a total lap kitty, loves playtime, and he knows we keep his favorite wand toy in our coffee table drawer- each night he sits by the table and meows until we do our nightly playtime! Then he’s ready to snuggle up on the couch and catch up on his shows. Pine’s also searching for a home with another young, playful cat, he can live with dogs, and will love his future people forever! Pine and Steve could also be adopted TOGETHER! Two cats that love each other and get along as well as these boys do are always better than one. Pine and Steve love to play together, groom each other, wrestle, chase- all things that young cats love to do! 🧡🖤 These sweet boys are searching for homes through NJSH Pet Rescue and can be adopted within 60 miles of Chester, NJ!
Happy Monday from Pine and Steve! These two have their windows open, they enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine from their spots on the window sill, and now it’s time for grooming snuggles in bed. Steve had his final bandage change today on that front leg and if all goes according to plan, he’ll be bandage free next week! His back one came off last week and he’s been doing great. Both boys are still looking for homes! They can go together or separately to homes with other young, social cats. Pine and Steve are great with dogs, they love everyone they meet, and they’re available through NJSH Pet Rescue! 🧡🖤
Wrestle, play, groom, snuggle, snooze, repeat!🧡🖤 Pine and Steve are two peas in a pod! They would both thrive in homes with other young, social cats or they can be adopted together and happily provide a lifetime of cuddles in your lap. Both are accepting applications through NJSH Pet Rescue! #adoptdontshop #adoptpinekitty🌲 #pineandsteve🧡🖤
