Pet safety tips! Remember pay attenattention to your dogs and give them breaks from a busy setting like a family gathering. They get stressed in busy or new settings. Be sure to give them a quiet space to have some time alone or with you.
Put the garbage can in an area they can’t get to it. Holiday times are the highest occurrences of trips the Emergency room for companion animals.

After the big holidays training option.
Do you have a dog that gets over excited or over agitated when they see other dogs or people on walks?
Are you nervous about brining your over excitable dog to a group class? Then consider enrolling in our next 5 week Over Reactive Rover class.
We takes things slow and controlled. We introduce protocols and training methods to help lower your dogs over reactive response and increase their focus and calm in distracting/stressful scenarios, like leashed walks.
Class meets 5 times.
Thursdays at 7:20pm. Start Jan 2nd.

We have a 3 session workshop focusing on how to help dogs who growl and guard food, toys, stolen objects and other items. The class will also address how to help 2 dogs who can get jealous of each other or over resources. If you are noticing guarding behavior now is the time to help find ways to decrease the behavior and work to find solutions. We have a few spots left in class. We meet Fridays at 5:45pm starting Nov 1st.

New Class Alert!
Rally Beginner Skills

What:
Rally is a dog sport that teaches obedience skills while promoting teamwork between you & your dog. It consists of the dog & handler heeling through a course and stopping at signs to perform different exercises. In this beginning level class we will introduce the main skills needed and teach the handler the signs.

Who can take:
In order to take this class the handler should have experience with marker based training - using either a clicker or a verbal marker. Prerequisite required: you and your dog need to have taken a Foundation Basic Manners, Step up or Canine Good Citizen class with Down Dog.

Class details: Thursdays at 5pm, Starts Oct 31st, 2024 , Cost $110 (covers the whole class)
