Fireworks season is upon us! Are you prepared if your pet is petrified of the loud noises and flashes of light? Refill your pet's anti-anxiety medications now to ensure you have them when your pet needs them.

More pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other day. In addition to medication, these are some other tips to have a Fear Free Fourth:

✔️Drown out sounds with music or white noise makers such as an oscillating fan or TV 🎶📺

✔️Minimize light flashes from fireworks by keeping all your lights on to decrease contrast 💡

✔️Block windows or move your pet to an interior room with no windows 🙈

✔️Thundershirts may reduce a pet's anxiety 👕

✔️Don’t pull your dog or cat out from hiding 🙈

✔️Don’t take your dog or cat to a fireworks celebration 🎆🚫

✔️Use pheromones (Adaptil for dogs; Feliway for cats) 🐶🐱

✔️Make sure your doors & fences are secured 🚪

✔️Keep party food & beverages out of pet's reach 🍔🌭🍾
