If you have company coming, and you're worried about your dog's manners, I'm inviting you to take a deep breath, and remember that your dog doesn't need to be perfect. Remember, you and your dog live in your home. It is okay to do what you need to do to get through this temporary chaos.

You can use gates, closed doors, kennels, tethers, bully sticks, frozen toppls, and all of the management strategies to help your guests and your dog(s) stay comfortable. Your dog doesn't need to be perfect.

Puppies are gonna puppy hard.

That's why you'll hear trainers say you really need to keep anything you don't want wrecked out of reach.

Just like every small human went through a phase of putting everything in their mouth and coloring on the carpet, so too, will puppies go through a "wreck it all" phase.

It will pass, and eventually they'll grow into nice dogs, but for now, keep calm and pick up your shoes.

Using wet/canned food as a treat is easy when you put it in a camping food tube! This makes life easier for owners of pets with special diets. #TreatWeek

It can be hard to find treats for pets with special diets. Ask your vet for approved ingredients, and blend it all into a paste. You can put that paste into a camping food tube and store in the refrigerator for use throughout the week! Alternatively, use the wet food version of your pets special diet, and toss that into a camping food tube to use in the same way. #TreatWeek
