Dear Santa Paws,

It’s me, Caitlin! I don’t usually ask for much, but now I’m writing to ask you for something for Christmas. I love sitting on the clean cat beds on the shelves where I can see across the sanctuary to a special door. Something magical must happen behind that door. All day I see volunteers take the blankets and sheets my friends accidentally make messes on through that door, and later they come out again with clean sheets and blankets! I don’t know how they do it, but I love that my friends and I always get to lounge on clean and cozy fabrics. If it’s not asking too much, Santa, do you think you can make sure the volunteers have all the supplies they need do their magic on their towels and cleaning cloths, too? I think I’ve overheard them mentioning detergent, bleach, and fabric softener. I’m not sure, but I think those things help keep the sanctuary smelling better, too!

See what intake-release into one of our rooms in the sanctuary looks like. These 5 lucky “Not-My-Cat”s were living in a large colony next to a railroad track, river and road. Amazing and caring people decided to do the right thing and find a way to TNR (trap, neuter and release/relocate/return) so this colony will not continue to grow. These are some of the lucky ones. Please spay/neuter and help the “Not-My-Cat”s in your area

Our Story

Back in December 2016, a group of cat loving ladies decided to create a sanctuary dedicated for the cats who had behavior issues but were otherwise healthy. We figured we would love to try to rehabilitate them. We connected with the humane society in MN and we joined forces with them and started rescuing cats that were not adoptable from that atmosphere. We broadened our horizons and started accepting “hard to adopt out” cats from rescues within the state of MN and we would “swap” them out for cats we knew were truly adoptable. We love the feeling we get when we help find a sanctuary cat a forever loving permanent home! Even if our sanctuary is their home. Cat lives matter... all of them.. to us!!!!
