These 2 are absolute besties. Except today when Caddy Cat got in the way of Jet eating his hay. Lol he kept gently nudging her away. She just wanted to roll in it. Usually Caddy Cat sleeps on Jet's back. Such an odd friendship but adorable.
Goats absolutely love when we bring them some brush to clean up. Its a nice treat for them.
This mama decided to hide somewhere and came happily strutting out with these 2 lovely babies a couple days ago. She's a very good mom and will Napoli fly at you when you try to feed her. Nobody is taking her babies lol.
Josh got to teach some youngsters about the hobby of bee keeping.
Our two children and their friend got to watch as Josh checked on the small hive we have in our backyard. They were all in awe and learned so much.
When handling bees it's extremely important to be calm. Honey bees can pick up on our emotions and if we're stressed or scared, they'll react. This helps in learning how to keep your emotions in check while moving slowly to not upset the bees. The kids learned this beforehand and were very calm, relaxed, and kept their movements slow, a big feat for their ages!

Fair week was a blast. The kids are exhausted. It will be nice to have the animals all home and we look forward to next year. The kids are already planning next year's projects.

Admist the busy fair this week we got the results back on this handsome man and since the results are negative we are so excited to announce our new breeding buck, Moonshine. He is a purebred savanna. Now he can come out of quarantine and go live with our other bucks. He's been here for just over a month already.
Didn't grab a picture of the goat or rabbit but Jet is all settled in and Isabelle and her friend Nicole showed their pigeons today. Isabelle showed her fairy garden on Monday. The fair is of to a great start.

Finally after a ton of rain we are getting some hay cut. Hopefully we can get it bailed.

Today we added some honey supers and the kids got to see bees carrying pollen. It was pretty cool.
The flowers are looking pretty with all the rain.

New calf born yesterday. I love spring.
Bees are working hard so, so are we. Waxing frames so we can add more boxes. We added a few hives this year so we don't have enough frames.
I got a glimpse of the northern lights before the clouds set in. Absolutely gorgeous. Wish I would have seen them last night.
If anyone needs eggs we have them coming out our ears. Let me know.
Bees are here! Just got them tonight so tomorrow we will put them in there hives. Hopefully they do a good job this year.

Honey exploring the home maple woods with Maple. Banana, her lambs and Moo and her lambs. And a young heifer.
Today we started a new adventure and are so excited. We now have some our products in Ace Hardware in Faribault. If you don't want to stop out at the farm then you can get honey, hot honey, maple syrup and maple sugar all at Ace.
And for our Northfield crew we still have product at Windy Willow LLC. Thank you to all that support us.
We had a set of triplets and a set of twins born today. The barn is filling up.
Isabelle and Henry and their 4-H club Full O Pep are selling Heggies Pizzas for their club fundraiser! Orders are due by 19 May and they need to sell 150 as a club!

Today Grits had 2 girls and a bit. Names to come. Absolutely in love with the 2 blue girls.
Born 2 days ago- Banana had 1 boy, 1 girl. And Judy had 1 boy. Names to be determined.
Yesterday Blondie had 2 girls, Elf and Chocolate Bar. I love when the kids name the babies.
