Coyotes beat us to this one. This is only the 3rd time this year they beat us and almost every track we took was run the next day or two days after the shot. It happens but not as often as you would think.

We have a swimmer!
This was wild track with some unusual obstacles but it's November and these rutty bucks don't play nice. After several phone calls for advice and then us showing up 24 hours later Rick was able to lay hands on his trophy.
Congrats on your successful hunt Rick and getting to spend time with your good friend who was in town to witness all this with you.

River tracked slow and methodical as per her norm, then she started pulling wanting to run (a clear sign from her the deer is still alive). So we backed out and waited 12 more hours then put River back on the track. She marched the final 289 yards to Larry's buck making him a very happy hunter!

Aubrey shot a buck with a muzzleloader. She and her dad couldn't find any blood anywhere. River didn't care she marched straight from the hit site to Aubrey's trophy in 4 minutes and 20 seconds without any of seeing as much as one drop of blood.

Received a tracking request for a buck shot at 6:45 pm THURSDAY night. Hunter took 3 buddies and looked for several hours friday afternoon. With no luck, the hunter decided to call me at 8 pm last night and asked us to come at 10 am this morning. I explained to the hunter that River could do it, but it was not going to be easy. Then I thought “what would Dave do” and I thought “we’re doing this, hold my beer”.

The hunter and his friends took River and I to where they thought the buck left the beans and into the woods and the “Find It” command was given…..9 minutes…. 9 MINUTES and not one drop of blood found by any of us River made a believer out of a once very sad hunter to trust a trained tracking dog and that he did the right thing by never giving up!
Congrats Cole, heck of a buck and heck of a story for your first EVER archery harvest!!!!!
