It takes a lot of time, energy, feed, equipment and years of experience to raise a happy, healthy rabbit, guinea pig, rat or mouse (or any animal for that matter)

Do not call me asking about how much my Creme d'Argent rabbits are and then try to get me to lower my price cuz you don't wanna pay that. My Cremes are $125 and go up from there. It take a lot of work to raise them and feed.

If you are not willing to pay the amount listed, what makes you think I believe you'll take proper care of them???

Nothing worth having is free.

When you find mites in your bedding and now they are all over the cages.... you go to TSC and get this. Yes, it's 20 lbs and HUGE bag. but, I'll use it everytime I clean cages. This is BS

Attention Cavy Breeders

As many of you know my husband, Brian Smith developed a breeding application for mobile devices called Who's Due. This application allows breeders of Rabbits and Cavies to track their herds breedings, litters, stats and much more.

My questions is this:

For rabbits we have notifications that go out when your litters are due to wean, however, with cavies, that isn't an option right now as cavies have a time frame in which they can litter. Mostly due to the length of their gestation being between 59-72 days. Personally, I wean boars at 3 weeks and allow sows to remain with mom until 6-7 weeks. What age do you wean your cavy babies?

We are trying to get an idea so that we can add the option of weaning dates in our app. Please comment below or PM us so we can gather information and enable the weaning section of the cavy area in our app.

If you have any other ideas to make the cavy section or Who's Due better, please let us know that as well.

Sadly, my piggies, Violet, who was pregnant and due any day, passed away this morning. I am unsure as to why this happened, but it's an unfortunate consequence of breeding guinea pigs.

Val and Pip stopping in to say HI

They are nearing 4 weeks old already!!! Val is looking to be a White Faced Pearl Pied and Pip, well Pip is stunted, so he's going to take a little longer to get feathers and whatnot.

Both are active, vocal, social, eating well, alert and love after food cuddles lol

Midnight x Binky had babies this morning... 15 little jellybeans. Mama has been separated for a couple days so that she can deliver her babies and will have the next 2 weeks to bond with them before being added back to the main cage.

The babies are getting so big!! Pip in 16 days old and Val is 18 days old today!!!

Val is a White Faced (hopefully pearl pied) and Pip I have no clue, probable a Normal Pearl, Normal Pied, Can't tell till his feathering comes in.

Val will be 100% Staying here and Pip I am not sure yet, might keep him might find a home for him... We'll see.

They will be weaning are around June 14th and will be 8 weeks of age June 26-28, 2024

I have loved watching these little ones grow. Wonder what they'll do next. This is so exciting.

This little one is Val. (his name might change as he grows). Once he's fed, he climbs from my desk up my shirt and into my hand where he wants to snuggle and take a nap.

This is Val (Velociraptor) he was hatched on 05/02/2024 and is officially 2 weeks old! He's getting his big boy feathers and growing really well.

His sibling, Pip Squeak (PIP) is suffering from stunted growth or failure to thrive. Despite being in the same conditions and fed the same, he is half the size of Val.

We are working on getting Pip to start growing..

Sitting in my office getting some farm stuff done and I look over to see this... Archie was watching the birds in the lilac bush by my window. His soft meows and trilling sounds were so cute.

After the loss of YURI, my female Cockatiel, REN has been getting a lot more attention. I am hoping this prevents a broken heart. In 6 weeks or so, he'll have 2 more in his cage. His kids are growing up fast and are SO DAMN CUTE!!!!
