We’re all thankful the rain has stopped but Jake is loving our creek so full! Jake has cushings disease and stays hot and fuzzy. We body clip him regularly during the hotter months but he loves the water! ☀️
Goldstar is in need of bigger animal cracker containers that the horses can fit their snoots in 😂 Meri, a Goldstar employee, loves treating the horses. You can always find her with a carrot, apple, treats, and even animal crackers. She’s all the horses’ favorite!
Our sweet Crimmy.. Crimson has arthritis that does not treat her well with the rain. She was in a lot pain today, so she got some extra bute, good rest in her stall, and lots of lovins from employees while she rested. She will spend the night in her stall with all of her friends to avoid any issues with the coming thunderstorm.
We love our Crimmy! Come say hi! She loves visitors! Schedule a tour by texting 214-592-6649 ☀️
The boys were SO HAPPY to greet Miss Tess back to their pasture! Tess has been gone this week, and these guys sure did miss their gal! As soon as Tess called out to them, they all came running to see her! As companion animals, horses thrive being with their herd. Tess didn’t like being gone one bit, but the entire sanctuary is so glad she’s home! 💜
Carlos says Goldstar needs a horsey swimming pool for summer! Any donations would be GREATLY appreciated towards this guy’s dreams that will NEVER come true 🤣
Oldies
The oldies are so happy they got to go out for the night! The sun dried things up good today! ☀️ Just mares being mares.
You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.
Red and Keelan
Red got worked by our newest employee, Keelan! Keelan has a ton of experience working and training horses. We’re so excited to have him join the Sanctuary!
Carlos sure loves his treats!
Ari is sick of us annoying human beings
Ari is showing us the day in the horrible life of a king.
Our baby Misty is growing up. Six years old this past January. Here she is with her very first under saddle ride! Judi Black is working on her training and here is our very own Bob riding Misty and sharing this wonderful moment!
Have you visited the Sanctuary lately to see Misty and all the exciting things going on??
Blue Bayou and his BFF Tango finally get to be in their new pasture. Blue fractured his leg last Summer and has been in recovery ever since. He is now healed - we hope permanently, and he is turned out in his pasture! Such is life at a Sanctuary!! This is a happy, happy day!
