I'm very sorry I am so late in posting this thank you to all of my friends (both from many years ago and more recent) who came out to say good-bye to me prior to my leaving for North Carolina. No good excuse I know but my retiring, selling the farm and leaving New Jersey has been quite bittersweet for me. A VERY special thanks to Suzie Hehn for all her hard work in organizing and hosting this wonderful, heart warming event. And also to Rachael Dalfonzo and Crystal Simmons for their work in putting this together with Suzie. To my great surprise, folks came out from my life so many years ago . . . my early barn managers Freddy Salas and Lynn Skelson Hahn (1980s and 1990s?), my first NJ Trainer (Mike Maxwell), my first and following Vets (Eric Kates and Paula Miller), my co-trainers that I have known and have subsequently worked with since they were 8 and 12 years old (Crystal Simmons and Amy DeCarlo . . . now middle-aged), customers and trainers who I have known and worked with for years (Debra Gittleman, Lindsey Neill, Holly Boylan, Margot Huber, Correne Rodas, Mark Dewis, Debbie Vetterl, Sandy Catto, Bethany Ryan, Jill Cooper, Leslie Van Arsdale, MaryLynn Gabert, Kamala Harbeck, Katie Trezza, Shannon Cunneff, Nicole Graves, Skylar Barney King, Carol Acquaviva, Sue Whitman, Cherry Brown, Michele Aiello to name just a few). What a tremendous opportunity it was to see you all again, and to exchange stories and hugs. You have all filled my life with so much laughter and love, and made my life so very special! I love you all and already miss you all tremendously. Why didn't someone talk me out of this move?!?

A huge thank you to Suzie with whom I have a special bond. If you haven't heard the story, Suz and I went Christmas caroling through a 55 and over community (at the time never imagining that I could one day be living there) when I was 8 months pregnant with Rachael. I was supposed to be the Elf but could not fit into the Elf costume. Suzie begrudgingly shared her Santa costume with me. Suz, I love you and will never forget the fun we have always had together!

If anyone wants to visit North Carolina please call me. The barn I am boarding at has 4,000 acres with the best trails backed up to it. I have extra bedrooms. Please come visit!

We had a spectacular time at Brass Ring Horse show at Devon! Horses & riders were all very good bringing home many tri- colors!

With Nancy enjoying her well deserved retirement in NC, BCF will now be known as Best Change Farm. Crystal will still be running daily operations, training and showing with the same dedication Nancy has provided the last 40+ years. Round 2 of pony camp begins!

ISO a horse and pony that will be stars both for beginner to intermediate riders and at local horse shows.

The pony - medium to large for a little that will start out in mini/shirt stirrups. Must be easy to ride, have no spook and no peek, will not root, will have an easy change, and is pleasant enough to work around. Can be older, can need maintenance. MUST be dependable. Would prefer to purchase. Would like to look in the NJ/NY/PA area. Price dependent on quality of pony.

The horse - to jump up to 2’6”. Ideally has show experience, is quiet and easy for beginners to ride. Has a good step and lead change, no peek or spook. Prep ok, older ok, maintenance ok. Would prefer to purchase and look in the NJ/NY/PA area. Price dependent on quality of horse.

Great home with wonderful care. Lots of turnout, fat and happy horses. Horses are NOT over ridden and are handled lovingly.

ISO saintly beginner pony to lease for 6 year who walks, trots and canters. Must be the perfect babysitter as the child is so young. Must easily go forward and stop, and straight forward to cross rails. Currently for mini stirrup and eventually for short stirrup. No misbehavior please. Age not an issue (in fact would prefer one that has been there, done that and has a solid record packing the littles around). We can also do maintenance if need be. Safety first.

What a day we had at NJPHA Fall Finale on Sunday! Beautiful weather, excellent horses, riders & amazing parents who kept us fed. The day started with Sadie & Charlie earning champion in both the low childrens equitation & hunters! Next up was Natalia & Max winning a class in low childrens horse & reserve champion! Our low adults were on fire as well with Lindsay & Derrick winning champion in the equitation & great scores in the hunters. Jenn & Finn won both the eq & hunter flat classes & reserve champion in the hunters. Libby & Lucy had great scores in the 80’s in most of their eq & hunter trips, just missing out on reserve in both divisions. Next up Leah & candy got scores of 82 & 86 to win both jr/amateur hunter classes & champion. Kaylin & her young horse Liam marched around the first time without schooling & besides a couple minor baby moments Liam was a star winning his hunter under saddle. Cierra & Maddie competed in their last show for the year earning 2,3 & 4th in the 3’ jr/amateur equitation. The day did not end there, Goin’Steady(aka Charlie) & Sadie won packer of the day, Lindsay & Derrick won rider of the day & Nancy & Crystal were awarded trainer of the day!
