Franklin County Animal Shelter

Franklin County Animal Shelter Until they find their families, they're a part of ours. We provide medical treatment including vaccinations and sterilization to all animals prior to adoption.

Since 1974, our purpose has been to provide temporary care and shelter to stray, homeless, and abandoned animals. FCAS serves the community as an adoption facility where loving families and pets needing homes come together. The shelter strives to educate the public in the proper care of pets including increasing public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue.

Take a moment to meet Harriet and learn her story!
While we here at Franklin County Animal Shelter care for and grow to love each and every animal under our roof, our biggest hope is that they will all find a forever home with people who will love them, and they will feel safe and settled for the rest of their lives. Sometimes, that means that special cases, like Harriet, stay with us longer than most. She came to us the day after Christmas, two whole years ago, and has had quite the journey!

Harriet has been here for two years!

Please contact Elizabeth Newbury Perkins if this is your lost kitty in the Chesterville Norcross Pond area!
