Please help us welcome our new Managing DVM/ Medical Director Dr. Prior.
Dr. Patricia Prior is a CT valley native and fall enthusiast. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in 2010 and graduated from the St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, including a year of clinical rotations at The Ohio State University.
She has spent the better part of 10 years practicing general medicine, perfecting her client communication, strengthening the human-animal bond, and serving the community. She has taught in the CCSU technician program and has implemented the Fear Free program at multiple facilities. Dr. Prior is intensely interested in soft tissue and emergency surgery, ultrasound, geriatric care, and staff education.
Dr. Prior has been a hospital leader for greater than two years, with a certification in 2024 from the Rarebreed Leadership Academy. In July of 2024, she was voted Top Doctor in the Shelton, CT area by Best of Connecticut magazine.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking with her plothound Olive, building forts and chasing monsters with her daughter, and dancing while cooking with her partner, Mike.
