Meet Mr. Mahoney!

Hi! I am a sweet lil dude who would like to find my forever home! I am about 4-5 months old and I love to snuggle! I also love to romp around and play with my foster siblings. I have mastered crate training and doing excellent with potty training! I will need to work on my leash skills a bit but I am so food motivated I love to learn! I already learned sit and down. I would be great as a single dog or a great brother to other dogs in the home. They say I am a shep mix but I will probably only be about 50ish lbs full grown. 🐾

Maggie has been in rescue care since the summer of 2022. She was found by a good samaritan, undersocialized, and hurt badly on both back legs.

One leg with a fractured ankle and the other back leg with other fractures that could have very easily ended up in an amputation.

Dr. Tom at Skadron Animal Hospital was willing to try everything possible to make sure she kept her leg. She already had an increased chance of arthritis in the leg with the broken ankle. Multiple attempts and finally the pins held! Maggie healed up great and we are all so grateful!

Maggie chose a family member in her foster home as her person, and we are so happy to announce that Maggie is adopted! ❤️. Congratulations to all! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Peaches (left) is another one of our medical cases right now.

She came into rescue back in October. When she had bloodwork for her dental, it was found that she showed almost no platelets in her blood. She has been on some medication and her most recent recheck had improved some, but was still nowhere near where she needs to be.

Hopefully she will be able to go up for adoption soon, but I know she doesn't mind being spoiled in her foster home in the meantime. 😍

Melody had a vet followup today too. This sweet senior girl has glaucoma and is blind. The lens in both eyes have luxated and need to be removed otherwise she will lose both of her eyes.

Melody will be having eye surgery next Thursday. We are getting an estimate for this - there's a lot of medical cases right now within the rescue, but we want to do everything we can to make sure her next chapter is her best one yet.

This morning, Bobby, one of our FIV+ kitties was straining to use the litterbox. We didn't take any chances since urinary blockages can quickly become fatal for male kitties. Bobby has been at the vet today and luckily has produced urine since he's been there. He does have a full colon and small intestine, so is being monitored to make sure everything is passing through.

Hopefully he will be ready to go home tomorrow 🙏

Timmy was found outside, matted and emaciated. He was shaved down and found some adorable sweaters to help keep him warm.

Timmy has spent the last 48 hours hospitalized. His bloodwork was rough, and his ultrasounds and x-rays showed an enlarged heart and kidney. Nothing we've tried has helped him and we needed to make the decision to let Timmy be at peace.

I am glad that he was found and taken in from the cold. However he ended up outside, I'm glad that wasn't how his story ended and he knew that he mattered in the end.
