I love receiving spontaneous messages (below) and photos of my pups in their new homes. Today I got an update about Bernedoodle Dodge, Maples pup born back in June. I miss this sweet boy so much, but he's loved and valued in Washington.

MRI studies have revealed something amazing about dogs. Their love for their owners goes beyond food, toys, or even other dogs. Scientists discovered that when a dog smells its owner, a special part of its brain actually lights up more than it does when the dog smells food or another animal.

This part of the brain, called the caudate nucleus, is connected to feelings of love and reward. The reaction is so strong that it shows dogs aren’t just recognizing a familiar scent, they’re feeling joy and affection.
It proves that when our dogs look at us or come running to greet us, it’s not just habit. Deep inside their brains, they truly love us, in a way that’s powerful and real.

Sweet blue-eyed Sunny has discovered her true haven and is now part of an incredible family comprised of seasoned dog lovers who will shower her with love and care. After this photo, they embarked on their journey home to where their ecstatic children and grandchildren eagerly awaited to welcome her with open arms. They will soon realize that they have struck gold with Sunny, whose presence will undoubtedly bring immense joy and happiness to their lives. As the last of Louisa's Bernedoodle litter to leave, our home is gradually feeling emptier, but we take comfort in knowing that Sunny has found her forever home. Farewell, little blue-eyed beauty, may your future be filled with happiness and love, and may your tail always be wagging with joy.

She's still with me until this Sunday, but Sunny's people found her today! She's not going too far away and will be here in Utah just 30 minutes north in North Ogden! Its bitter-sweet when the last of a litter is reserved, but this is yet another pup going to a great experienced dog family and I couldn't be happier.

Look at this happy little pup! Isn't he adorable, and isnt it crazy that he wasn't snatched up before now? .... but his people were meant to find him in the time they needed. Cyrus has left the building and his family is an amazing dog family ..... and Cyrus is their 2nd Salty Paws Doodle! Happy tails you sweet little boy. I'll love you forever and I know life will be amazing for you. Cyrus is one of the most fun-loving and adorably silly pups I've bred, and we were all here for it.
