We are looking for 1, possibly 2 individuals who are cool with slobber, hard work, are creative, cool with random hair and dog treats found in their pockets at the days end and having a super weird boss with a terrible sense of humor.
The position would be part time BUT could be full for the right individual who has had experience in the industry(and no, watching your aunts parrot doesn't count as professional experience).
You would be trained to do all from back of house work with the pets directly to bathing and reception duties. This is a fast paced job with a lot of hands on work that involves working holiday shifts(pet care doesn't stop for silly human things), lots of thinking on the job and patience. But it is rewarding and joyful, you'll build relationships with some pretty cool clients and be on a rad team who makes things silly and fun. Do we play with puppies and is this an awesome job? Absolutely! But it also involves a lot of hard work, learning of canine and feline body language and behavior and more to make sure our care standards stay impeccable. If you are looking to just play with dogs all day without the other responsibility that comes with pet care, I know some of the pets in the shelters would benefit from that. However, it doesn't help us here as much!
Past pet care employment experience is preferred(but for the right individual, may not be needed), you must be 18+ and have reliable transportation for shifts that start at 6am.
