Guess I got a quick answer!!!! Yay for a happy body and happy horse!!!
When they come back for more after being released… that’s a sign of trust and my hope is that that horse if feeling something good in their bodies they have not felt for awhile and are coming back for a hug 🙂
This is what makes my day…
One of my clients sent this to me discovering one of her horses I worked on today, passed out in the field after his session.
Bodywork is a lot neurologically for a horse; the process of finding and releasing tension that they have been working hard to hide for often years, tires them out.
Think of how well you sleep after a deep massage. This kind of reaction is actually a wonderful result.
It feels pretty nice to release a ton of stored tension. Horses can be exaggerated in their releases to the point where it’s comical. Others are more stoic and private about showing you, then you release them out to pasture and they start rolling around like a dog!!
It’s not a matter of how big it is, it’s about learning the horse you are working with and how they communicate with you. I feel it’s the priveledge of this work; allowing every horse their individuality and creating a space that feels safe to them.
Let it go…. Let it go…. Don’t hold it back anymore…
