A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Community!

This week has been incredibly busy and rewarding at the Fayette County Humane Society. Thanks to our amazing adopters, we were able to find loving homes for 18 of our dogs during our free adoption event! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that Breech, who has been at our shelter the longest, was finally adopted, and Sonya, who has been with us for over a year, also found her forever home. 🏡❤️

Our community truly came together during this event. We had people traveling from out of state, some driving up to five hours, just to adopt their new best friend. That level of dedication and love is simply amazing and heartwarming.

Because of the overwhelming success of this event, we are excited to announce that we will be extending the free adoption event from November 19, 2024, to November 23, 2024. 🐾

Despite the success, we are still in code red due to being over capacity. Our biggest concern is that our kennel runs are currently housing dogs both inside and outside, which means they aren’t being used as intended. With winter quickly approaching, we don’t want any of our dogs to be housed outside. Our goal is to use our kennels properly and ensure no dogs are in the outside runs.

If you have been thinking about adopting, now is the perfect time to do so during this wonderful event. If you can’t adopt, we encourage you to consider fostering. All dogs come with age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea and tick treatment, and a spay/neuter voucher.

Our hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM, and our address is 513 Shelter Road, Fayetteville, WV 25840. You can reach us by calling 304-574-2722 or messaging us directly on Facebook.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to adopt, who stopped by to walk or play with our dogs, or who simply shared our posts. Your support means the world to us and our furry friends. 🐶❤️

Although cats are not included in the free adoption event, their adoption fee has been reduced to $40.00 until November 23, 2024.

Thank you for your continued support and let’s keep working together to find loving homes for all our animals!

📢 Final Day of Our Free Adoption Event! 📢

Tomorrow, November 16, 2024, is the last day of our free adoption event at Fayette County Humane Society. Despite this week’s event, we are still in Code Red status and very over capacity with dogs. 🐶

If you can’t adopt, please consider fostering. Fostering comes with everything you need to care for a dog. 🏡

⏰ Shelter Hours: 10 AM - 5 PM
📍 Address: 513 Shelter Rd., Fayetteville, WV 25840

We encourage everyone looking to adopt to visit us tomorrow and find their new best friend. Cats are not free, but their adoption fee has been reduced to $40. 🐱

Your support can make a huge difference in the lives of these wonderful animals. ❤️
