🎉 Surprise! We’re extending our adoption event for one more week!!! 🎉

Sadly, we’re still on code red with no relief in sight, and this week’s weather really put a damper on things. But we want you to have the chance to meet our amazing dogs! 🐶✨

From February 25th to March 1st, we’re offering FREE adoptions for all dogs and puppies. Along with the adoption, you’ll get vaccines, dewormer, flea and tick prevention, a spay/neuter voucher, and even the first year’s Rabies vaccine covered! 🏥

While 5 dogs found their forever homes during our initial event, we know there are many more pups waiting for their turn! Let’s give them a shot at happiness. 🐾

Come down and meet your new best friend! We’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Let’s make it a week of tails wagging and hearts full! 🐕❤️

Mooney’s back from foster care and ready to work! 🐾 After a long break, she’s back to her receptionist duties and grinning ear to ear while greeting the staff who used to take care of her. She’s all smiles, ready to answer calls (or bark at squirrels). 😄

This 5-year-old ACD/Boxer mix is spayed, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, and super dog-friendly! She knows her basic commands and is ready to show off her skills in a new forever home. 🏡

Mooney has been with us for months and truly deserves the best home ever! Could it be yours? 🐶💖

Urgent Appeal for Help: Medical Bills for Enoch and Rudolph

At the Fayette County Humane Society, we rely heavily on the generosity of donations to cover the costs of the medical care for the animals we rescue. Recently, we’ve faced an overwhelming number of medical cases that have drained our resources, and we need your help now more than ever.

Enoch’s Story
Enoch came to us after his former owner, unable to afford veterinary care, was considering euthanasia due to the high cost of treatment. Thankfully, our vet reached out to us, and we immediately agreed to take on his case so he wouldn’t have to be put down. Enoch had a serious blockage after swallowing a sock, and his surgery was extremely costly. But now, we’re happy to share that Enoch is thriving in his foster home and doing great!

Rudolph’s Story
Rudolph’s situation was even more heartbreaking. He arrived as a cruelty case with a severe open flesh wound that became infected. Our vet worked quickly to clean the wound, removing the dead flesh and giving him a chance at recovery. Rudolph is now in stable condition and recovering at the shelter, but he still urgently needs an experienced foster to continue his healing journey.

The Reality We’re Facing
As of today, our total outstanding medical bills amount to $3,536.09. With the overwhelming number of animals in need and the expensive treatments they require, our funds are rapidly depleting. We are facing a financial crisis, and without your help, we may not be able to continue our life-saving mission.

How You Can Help
If you’re able to contribute, there are several ways to donate:
1. PayPal – https://paypal.me/fayhswv?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US
2. Venmo –
3. Facebook – directly on our page
4. Directly to our vet: You can call Fayette Vet at 304-574-3590 and donate directly to the account of Fayette County Humane Society.

We truly appreciate every penny that goes towards helping these animals and ensuring they get the care they need to live a full, healthy life. Every donation makes a difference.

Thank you for supporting our mission. We couldn’t do this without you.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Fayette County Humane Society

🚨 **Important Announcement: Code Red at Fayette County Humane Society** 🚨

We are in a critical situation and need your help! **Fayette County Humane Society is in Code Red** due to severe overcrowding. We have reached beyond our capacity and are urgently seeking loving homes for our animals.

To address this crisis, we are hosting a **Free Adoption Event** from **February 15th to February 22nd**. During this event, all adoption fees will be waived, and every dog and puppy will come with:

- Vaccines
- Dewormer
- Flea and tick treatment
- Spay and neuter voucher
- First rabies vaccine (covered by us)

**Why is this so important?**

Adoptions are at an all-time low, and we are currently housing 130 dogs, far exceeding our capacity. This means that dogs are being housed in wire crates down our main run, and many are being kept outside in the cold. We do our best to keep them warm, but this is not the ideal situation for our furry friends.

**We need your support** to provide these animals with the loving homes they deserve. By adopting, you are not only giving a dog a new lease on life, but you are also making room for us to help other animals in need.

**How can you help?**

1. **Adopt:** Open your heart and home to a new furry family member. Every adoption helps us reduce overcrowding and improve the quality of life for the animals in our care.
2. **Share:** Spread the word about our Free Adoption Event. Share this post with your friends, family, and social networks to help us reach as many people as possible.
3. **Volunteer:** If you're unable to adopt, consider volunteering your time to help care for the animals. Every little bit helps!
4. **Donate:** Your donations enable us to continue providing food, medical care, and shelter for these animals. Every contribution makes a difference.

🚨 **Urgent Call for Experienced Foster** 🚨

We are in urgent need of an experienced foster for Rudolph, who just had surgery. He will need special care until he heals, and we are looking for someone who can provide the attention and expertise required.

**Rudolph's Care Requirements:**
- **Bandage Changes:** Bandages need to be changed daily or every 48 hours.
- **E-Collar:** Must be worn 24/7 to prevent any interference with the healing process.
- **Medications:** Rudolph will have medications that he needs to take regularly.

If you have experience fostering and can provide a loving, temporary home for Rudolph during his recovery, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support and compassion! ❤️🐾
