National Pet Hydration Awareness Month
Stay cool, stay hydrated! 💧🐾
July is National Pet Hydration Awareness Month, reminding us to keep our furry friends refreshed and revitalized during the summer heat to help prevent dehydration and/or heatstroke. Remember to provide fresh water and shade, especially during outdoor adventures. Let's keep those tails wagging and tongues lapping with plenty of H2O!
Please share to help spread awareness!

The heat is rising, and the ticks are out! Friendly reminder to keep your pets on a flea/tick prevention year around. ❤️
Sometimes when a client says it sure is quiet here today....🤣
Meg, approximately 6 months, is still looking for her forever home. This kitty was found by the Cajun Navy in Robeson County during Hurricane Florence and has been fostered by one of our team (Ginger). She may have been a little shy during her photo shoot, but she is a snuggler! She is amazing with small children and has been very tolerable of her foster dog. Please contact Cape Fear Animal Hospital.
Dr. Wheeler had a close encounter with this tick yesterday. It is a Lone Star tick (Amblyomma americanum). This tick carries diseases including Lyme and Ehrlichia. Stop by to see which tick prevention is best for your pet. Two of our favorites are Bravecto and Effitix. Don't forget cats need tick prevention too. We have Bravecto & Seresto for them.
