It is with very heavy hearts we share the passing of Dr. David Barkman. Beloved veterinarian, husband, father, friend and treasured grandpa, he will be missed beyond words. A memorial service will be held at Haymount United Methodist Church Saturday, January 20. In lieu of food and flowers, please donate in his memory to Haymount UMC or your favorite charity. Thank you so much for the prayers and well wishes the Barkman and Highland Animal Hospital families have received the last month!

While walking his beloved dog Harry, Dr Dave Barkman suffered a stroke and is in the ICU at CFVH. He is stable and improving steadily. We are incredibly grateful for all your prayers, kind words and love. Loyal Harry caught the attention of some kind workers who stopped and quickly summoned help. Please continue praying for Dr. Dave and the incredible team of medical staff at Cape Fear Valley Health. We are so thankful!
