Look at that big smile folks! Sydney is an Australian Shepherd mix with an adorable bobtail. He weighs 76 pounds and is heartworm positive. Please do not let that deter you from adopting as heartworm is treatable and is not contagious.
Sydney was brought in as a stray after he was found in a local neighborhood and no one came to look for him. Their loss is your gain as he is the absolutely the best boy!
Sydney is as sweet as the day is long. This happy little fuzz butt will greet you at his kennel door with tail wags hoping for attention.
Sydney has a friendly, sweet, and happy personality. He welcomes all of your pets and is eager to be friends. He is affectionate and wants to give and to receive love.
Sydney has good leash manners. He is quiet, calm, and well behaved in and out of the kennel.
He is smart and knows the sit command. He took treat gently from my hand and he gave tiny kisses as a thank you

Meet Mariah! She is all smiles for her picture! Mariah is about 10 months old. She is a petite little girl who weighs just 29 pounds and is heartworm negative.
This little girl is ready to steal your heart with her sweet personality! She met me at her kennel door with tail wags and a friendly face. She is very submissive to people and she quickly shows off her sweet and loving personality.
Little Miss Mariah was found wandering around a local neighborhood and sadly no one came to look for her.
Mariah welcomed me into her space. It was cold outside and having just came in from a potty break we stayed inside where it was warm.
Little Mariah welcomed all my attention. She loves to be loved on and she is a big fan of back scratches and belly rubs.
Mariah knows the sit command. She sat for her treats and was gentle when taking them from my hand.
Mariah was a ham for her pics, she gave lot's of poses for the camera. She was well behaved and she definitely wanted to please.
Mariah is an all around good pup and we would like for her to be living her best life with a her new family. She is sure to make you smile.
This sweet girl would love to have a family to spend her life with. Our shelter is full.

TUCKER (A416922)

Meet our sweet boy Tucker! How can you resist that pretty smile and those cute ears? Tucker weighs 43 pounds and is heartworm negative. He is currently getting extra food to help him gain some weight.

Tucker was found as a stray after he was wandering around a busy road.
The finder's family member had the following to say: " Tucker is the absolute best boy!! He is great around other dogs and kids. 💗💗💗💗
He stayed with my sister for about a week before he was brought to Cumberland.
Whoever adopts Tucker will be very lucky to have such a sweet, gentle boy!!
I also gave him a really good scrub because he was infested with fleas and he was so patient and calm the entire time. We love this boy!! "

Tucker loves to see visitors. He greets you at his kennel door with tail wags and he may even try to "talk" to you. He just wants you to know he is ready to hang out together and spend some time with you out of his kennel.

Tucker leashed up easily. He had a good time outside while getting some exercise. He is smart and he gave his best sit for the camera. Did he catch your attention?

Tucker enjoyed his kennel break, he explored, took care of business, and checked out the toys. He showed off his playful and friendly personality and enjoyed the freedom to have some fun!

Tucker is playful, friendly, happy, and fun. He likes to be with people. He is looking forward to having a home and we hope to see him with a new family quickly!

This handsome boy is Vader! He weighs 64 pounds and his heartworm test is currently pending. He is estimated to be about 4 years old.
Vader was brought in after he was found as a stray. No one has came to look for him; now he is in desperate need of a home.
Vader greets you at his kennel door with tail wags and a friendly face. He is ready to be friends and he wants to hang out with you.
Vader is a good boy, he's a little strong on the leash; I think a little practice should help, as he is eager to please. Once outside he explored the yard. He was curious about everything. He took care of business immediately and may be housetrained.
Vader is smart and knows the sit command. He gave his best sit for the camera and showed off his cute smile. He loves treats and he can catch them in the air. He will also take them pretty gently from your hand. I would say treats would be a great motivational tool for him.
Vader is active and playful. He enjoyed playing with a ball outside in the yard. He had a good time exploring and taking in the new sights and sounds.
I think Vader would benefit from daily exercise be it a good game of fetch, or going on walks/runs. He would love a yard to explore and hang out in.
Vader is friendly and he enjoys being with his people. He sure would love to have a home where he can spend his time getting the love, attention and care he wants and needs.

Meet Silver! She is 9 months old, weighs 38 pounds and is heartworm negative. She is already spayed and ready to go to her new home.
Silver was with us as a young puppy. Sadly she was found as a stray recently after she was rehomed to someone.
The shelter staff noted she did well on a dog test with an older male collie and was very friendly and playful.
Silver is ready to greet you right at the front her kennel with tail wags and a friendly face. She hangs out at her door so she doesn't miss the chance to get some pets and attention. She is a loving and sweet little girl who enjoys seeing visitors and making friends.
Silver is easy on the leash and stays close by your side while following your lead. She is calm and quiet in and out of her kennel. She is attentive and eager to please.
Silver is a lovebug and she wants to be a lap baby. She welcomed all the pets and attention I gave her. She's a gentle treat taker and gives tiny kisses as her way of saying thank you.
Silver is an all around great dog. She is friendly, happy, playful, and well behaved! What more could you ask for, this pup has it all!

Hello Snow. She’s a 7 month old Labrador Retriever who is heartworm negative. She was found on Tom Starling Rd and no one has come looking for this sweetheart.
Snow sprawls across the front of her kennel, waiting for visitors to notice her. She was super easy to leash and she walks calmly/gently. Snow passed several dogs on her way outside. She didn’t pay them any attention. We do always recommend meet and greets to ensure a good fit between fur friends.
It was a cold day but that didn’t stop Snow. She sat like a model for pictures. She tracked treats, took them gently, and then sprawled in the grass to enjoy them.
Snow was curious and checked out the sights and scents in the yard. She was chill and calm as she explored. Snow also welcomed gentle rubs and back scratches.

Beautiful Pepper needs a forever home. She's a petite little girl. Pepper is listed as a Labrador Retriever mix. She was owner surrendered after being adopted a couple of weeks ago and is now back with us by no fault of her own. She s already spayed and ready to go home today!

BUFFY (A416898) I'm a little fella

Little dog lover's where are you?
This sweet little fella is Buffy! He is a 4-year-old Chihuahua. He is much smaller than he looks in this close up picture. He weighs just 15 pounds.
Buffy was surrendered by NO fault of his own His owner is hospitalized and in poor health. He's had the same owner his entire life and he's confused and scared here.
Buffy sits at the back of his kennel curled up on his little blanket. The noisy shelter environment and the unfamiliar faces have him completely overwhelmed.
Buffy wants your love and once he sees you mean him no harm, he welcomes any and all attention. He doesn't mind being carried around and he loves to sit in your lap.
Buffy is housetrained and from our observation he is a very quiet, gentle and calm dog. He wants to please and he wants to be loved.

GORDO (A416934)

Meet our handsome, sweet boy Gordo! He is a 2 year old terrier who is hoping for a family to love! Gordo weighs 65 pounds and he's heartworm negative.
Gordo was surrendered to our animal control officer with an injury on his neck from his collar which had an abscess. He was brought in and given medical care. Thankfully he is on the mend and his injury has since healed up nicely.
Gordo greets you at his kennel door. He is a bit shy at first but he warms right when he sees you are there to give him some love. He walks good on leash and he went potty right away when taken outside.
Gordo is a very sweet, gentle, calm and well mannered boy. He wants and accepts all the love and pets that you are willing to give him. Although the shelter environment is a bit scary for him, he is trying to make the best of his stay while he is awaiting a loving home.
Gordo is a gentle treat taker. He simply wants to please and he listens well. He's an all around great dog who just needs a new start where he can be loved and cared for properly.
Gordo is ready to move on and find himself a family who wants and needs all the sweet doggy kisses and love that he has to give. Can you help him out?

Check out our resident cutie pie Bugsy! He is a sweet fella who loves everyone! Bugsy was brought to our shelter as a stray after he was found hanging out alone. No one came to look for him and now he is ready for a home.
Bugsy is a happy and friendly boy! He is excited to see visitors and he shows off his sweet personality by tap dancing at his kennel door.
He has nonstop tail wags for you and he gives the cutest little smile.
Bugsy leashed up easily and we went outside for some exercise and potty break. He had the best time checking out the toys and exploring the yard. He has a playful side and did a few zoomie's before coming back over to hang out with me.
Bugsy loves attention. He welcomes all your pets and he gives very gentle hugs to show his affection. Bugsy didn't pay any mind to another dog who came out in the yard. Of course, we do always recommend meet and greets with your pets.

Welcome Ivy. She’s a 9 month old bulldog/terrier mix. She is heartworm negative. Ivy was abandoned - tied to a pole on the corner of Cumberland Rd and Ireland Dr. 🥲. Despite her sad start in life Ivy is a happy and playful girl. She’s full of personality and ready for a bright future. The awesome news - Ivy was adopted today. As soon as she is spayed she will start her new life with her new family.

Meet Ramsey. He’s a 1 year old terrier. Ramsey was brought in as a stray after he was found wandering around here in Fayetteville near a very busy road.
Ramsey is sad to be here. You can here him moaning pitifully in his kennel hoping for you to come and spend some time with him.
Ramsey met at his kennel door with tail wags and a friendly face. He let me know right away he needed a kennel break. He was ready to go outside. He leashed up and we headed out to the yard.
Ramsey was a curious explorer and he had a good time sniffing and taking in all the new sights and sounds. Once his curiosity was satisfied he sat down next to my legs and leaned in close for back scratches.
Ramsey sat nicely for his picture and gave a model pose. He took treats gently from my hand and he gave me plenty of doggy kisses to say thank you.
