Today is National Dog Day! Here's a pic of our pup Shade, aka Slim Shady, Sugarbear! He is a 14 year old Aussie mix, rescued from Cumberland County Animal Services. In his spare time he enjoys playing keep away from his parents, eating vegetables straight out of the garden, and looking pretty. He works as a freelance office manager for both Carolina Pet Care, and Healing Selves Therapeutics. He is pictured here catching up on some reading for the therapy practice he manages.

Today is National Check the Chip Day! Today is the day to verify that your pet's information is updated in the registry. The easiest way to do that is to verify with your vet the microchip manufacturer and microchip license number (can be done with a call to your vet), and logging onto the website and updating information if needed - location, phone number, etc. Without an updated registration, being reunited with your pet will be more challenging. Check the Chip Today!
