We’re back! After taking some time off, we’re returning to a dog event today.

Join us from 11:00-3:00 for the Dog days of Spanaway. There are 40+ vendors there so lots of shopping on this beautiful day. And come by Barb’s Pet Project booth & pick up some new scarves.

Today we’re celebrating my kitty, Tiana’s, 11th birthday! For anyone wondering, yes, cats CAN wear Barb’s Pet Project pet scarves. Tiana has been wearing one since we began our project. As long as your pet wears a collar, they can wear a scarf because all of our scarves have a pocket for their collar to slip through. Tiana wears a size extra small, but if you have a heavier cat, they would probably wear a size small. Happy birthday Tiana! 😻

Fun in the sun today Volunteer Park Trust Halloween parade. It was our Sophie’s first event at 12 weeks old. Maya, our lion Queen at 16 and her sis Bailey 10 showed her how to be cute 🥰 and support our pet scarves Mom sews. Loved meeting so many people with their dogs today in all the awesome costumes. Remember our Etsy site Our family supports homeless animals through charities with our profit from donations of our sales.

We hope you can join us in support of the Volunteer Park Trust. We’ve attended the Halloween Pet Parade once before & all had a good time.

Get ready for an adorable afternoon of spooky fun at our Halloween Pet Parade on Sunday, October 8th from 11am-2pm! We will be gathering near the Dahlia Lawn for an afternoon of pets, costumes, music from who will be leading the parade, the costume competition, vendors, food trucks and more! We have a busy weekend ahead of us with two events!

Saturday you can find us in University Place at Chambers Bay for Bark by the Bay.
Event is 10:00-4:00.

Sunday we’ll be in Tumwater at the Tumwater Farmers Market @ Peter G Schmidt Elementary from 11:00-3:00. Pets are welcome & they’re having a pet rescue with adoptions there.

Our pet scarves will be sold at both events. Hope to see you there!

Today, Kristi & I went to the Church of Pug Pug Gala fundraising event at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Maya & Bailey wore cute dresses for the occasion. They both enjoyed meeting new friends & eating snacks!

It’s with great sadness that we at Barbs Pet Project announce that our beloved Sadie Marie has crossed over the rainbow bridge and passed away. She was loved by so many including many of you. Our hearts are broken with this unexpected loss and things will not be the same without her. Many say dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, and we could not agree more! 💜
