NIALL BRENNAN STABLES is a world-class Thoroughbred training facility in Ocala, Florida focusing on the development of happy, healthy equine athletes.
Located on lush, rich land decorated with beautiful old oak trees, Niall Brennan Stables has more than 100 acres of turn out paddocks and barns accommodating up to 130 horses. The farm utilizes a three-quarter mile dirt track with a padded four-stall starting gate, a six-furlong rolling turf course, a jogging track, three European walkers, six round pens, and a state-of-the-art Aquaciser. We make use of the latest in modern veterinary technology, including massage, laser, magnetic and hydro therapy.
In addition to our first-rate facilities, our motto “Success Is No Accident” embodies the philosophy of our work and lives: hard work, attention to detail, integrity, leaving nothing to chance, and striving to fine tune the quality services of our program are what defines our operation. We’re extremely proud of the talented horsemen and horsewomen who make up our team and are vital to the success of our operation.
Over the last decade, Niall Brennan Stable graduates have won over 120 graded stakes races (more than 30 of which were Grade/Group One), including the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, Breeders’ Cup Classic, Breeder's Cup Filly and Mare Turf, Pegasis World Cup, Travers Stakes, Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes, Meydan Stakes, and Singapore Turf Cup, among others.
Recognizing the need for the Thoroughbred racing industry to take full responsibility for the care of its equine athletes after they retire from racing, our team founded the Final Furlong racehorse retirement program in 2009. It provides a vital segue for retiring NBS graduate Thoroughbreds owned by our clients to be safely rehabilitated and repurposed.
Farm founder Niall Brennan was a successful jockey and won his first race at the age of 16 in his native Ireland. He soon discovered his special talents as a trainer and traveled around the world working at tracks and farms in New Zealand, Australia, California and Kentucky, broadening his knowledge of the thoroughbred industry. In 1987, he relocated to Florida to train Thoroughbreds for New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner at his Kinsman farm. Brennan consigned his first two-year-old Thoroughbred in 1991 and has consistently ranked as a leading consignor in North America.
