Meet the Herd Monday!

Today is one of our tried and true of the Wild West Ranch. Ashley has been with us for over 20 years. She is always seen hanging out with her best friends Mystic and Stanley. Ashley takes single and double riders out and is often even used to take our special needs guests out, with her gentle and calm personality she's truly an irreplaceable member of the Wild West Rranch family.

Today's plus sized beauty is Hot Lips! Initially, Hot Lips would move her lips while being ridden, giving the illusion she had something hot in her mouth. As a draft horse, Hot Lips has a sweet and kind heart that's just as large as her stature. Her gentle nature makes her absolutely perfect for double riding. Today's all star is Hicky!

Hicky is a mesmerizing 10 year old Belgian/POA cross. With his eye catching color and his size, he's everyone's favorite mount and a trail horse deluxe. His personality is as bold as his coloring. Be careful though, he'll con you out of your Jolly Ranchers. 😉

Dirty wishes everyone a happy Labor Day. His name 'Dirty' comes from his distinctive dirty blonde color, a mix of palomino and dark hairs, giving the appearance of an unbrushed coat. As a gentle quarter horse, he's ready to carry both first-time and experienced riders through our beautiful wooded trails. Dirty's best friend is Wonder, featured here a few weeks ago. Drum roll please! It's the one you've all been waiting for. Today's Meet The Herd Monday, and we're introducing you to the one and only Lasso!

This handsome fella is a Gypsy Vanner cross with a mustache that'll make you do a double take. He's got a playful, silly, personality, and he loves attention and treats -but be careful or he'll try to steal your Jolly Ranchers or candy if you have any. He's a guide favorite at Wild West Ranch Horseback Riding, and of you meet him for yourself you'll quickly see why, as he Lassos everyone's hearts.

Behind the scenes at Wild West! We do trail rides early in the morning to beat the heat and let our horses rest, so they're not working in the hot parts of the day, but that doesn't mean the humans stop working 💪

This Monday we say hello to our resilient pony, Moody!At Wild West Ranch Horseback Riding, we have a soft spot for ex-Amish horses/ponies and Moody is no exception. Moody transformed from a formerly bound-for-slaughter pony to a thriving member of our horseback riding family. Moody's journey demonstrates that with care and dedication, anyone can overcome their past and achieve greatness.

From riding to driving she does it all, don't let her name fool you, she's one of the best.
