Long-term foster care is needed for this sweet boy through St. Louis Pet Rescue. Raphael is a 7-month-old male kitten with some wobbles and tremors. He is looking for a long-term foster home in the St. Louis area. He would love to live with a fully vaccinated playmate, FeLV/FIV negative, who has no communicable diseases. Raphael is not vaccinated and can't be vaccinated for at least 6 months, so he also needs a foster home that does not have new pets coming and going all the time. He takes a small amount of prednisolone daily - that he loves! He has no problems using a litterbox or eating, loves to run and jump, and plays hard (sometimes too hard, but that is because he has no kitten friends to teach him to play gently). He has cataracts and limited sight, so he needs to have lights on where he sleeps. Raphael has never used stairs, and they may be difficult for him. But he is a ball of energy who loves having fun. He is the happiest little guy who will live a long, full life and is expected to improve with time.

Meet our precious little guy, Raphael, a special needs kitten with a heart as big as his spirit. Raphael wobbles when he walks and has intention tremors, but that doesn't stop him from living life to the fullest. His congenital cataracts may dim his sight, but they cannot dim his playful nature. He navigates his world with confidence, finding joy in every toy and adventure.
Raphael is searching for a long-term foster home, ideally with a fully vaccinated, altered, playful kitten friend to keep him company, teach him how to play gently, and perhaps one day be his seeing-eye-friend. He yearns for a loving environment where he can play, jump, and climb to his heart's content. The rescue will cover all medical treatments, ensuring he receives the care he deserves.
Despite his challenges, Raphael is a litter box pro, needing only a little extra care to avoid stairs. He also needs some lights on after it gets dark to help him see where he is going. He is loving and funny and asks for nothing more than a chance to be a happy kitten.
If you're looking to open your heart and home to a special kitten like Raphael, please consider being his long-term foster family. You'll be amazed by the love and joy he brings into your life.
To learn more or meet Raphael, please contact Carrie.
