🌟 Big Day for Ellie! 🌟

Yesterday marked a milestone as Ellie embarked on her journey of starting her very first c**t, Chief! 🐴❤️ We’ve had Chief since he was 18 months old, and to see him take his first steps in training with Ellie was truly special.

Ellie’s dedication and hard work shone brightly, and it was incredible to witness her putting it all to the test. Great job, Miss Ellie! 🎉 You should be so proud of your progress in your horsemanship journey—Tim and I certainly are! Keep shining! ✨

🌟 Exciting News for Little Equestrians! 🌟

Join our Mini Rider 4-Week Course designed especially for children aged 3-5 years old! 🐴✨ This fun and engaging class is perfect for young ones looking to build confidence and get introduced to the wonderful world of horses.

🗓️ **When:** Same day and time each week
⏰ **Duration:** 30 minutes

**Class Options:**
- Wednesdays @ 2:30pm
- Wednesdays @ 5pm
- Wednesdays @ 5:30pm
- Thursdays @ 3pm

Each session begins with 10 minutes of brushing and learning how to safely interact with our gentle horses. After that, we’ll do some fun balance exercises before hopping into the saddle for 15 minutes of riding!

As your little riders get comfortable, they’ll learn how to hold the reins and, when ready, steer and direct their horses. We wrap up each class with some more brushing and a special thank you to our equine friends for a great ride!

👩‍🏫 **Class size is limited to 3 students**, each with their own personal instructor, ensuring plenty of individual attention!

💲 **Cost:** $150 per 4-week session

🌟 After a fulfilling Sunday of church and brunch, some of our instructors hit the ice for some fun! ⛸️❤️ It was a fantastic time bonding and enjoying each other’s company, but we definitely missed those who couldn’t join us. Can’t wait for the next outing!

Meet Laila 👋

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! 🗞️ Please join us in welcoming Laila to the team! After successfully completing our internship program this past summer, we’re delighted to have her on board as we continue to grow our programs. 🐴

Hello! I’m Laila Yasin, and I’m thrilled to join Windwalker Farms as a Lesson Instructor! I believe that every student should have the opportunity to learn the language of horses and build a meaningful bond with them. My mission is to ensure that all my students enjoy their time at Windwalker Farms, making each lesson an unforgettable experience for both them and their horses.
As a veteran of the equestrian team, I developed my riding skills and cherished the bonds I formed while coaching the JV team. My love for horses and children inspired me to be part of the Windwalker family. I’m passionate about natural horsemanship and eager to share that knowledge with my students.
When I’m not with the horses, I enjoy reading, swimming, and spending quality time with my family. I can’t wait to bring my enthusiasm and expertise to the team and look forward to connecting with my students and their families!

Today was so cool and a long time in the making! I started Sable’s first baby (Sable is my heart horse 💕). It was the most rewarding c**t starting experience I’ve ever had, this filly is something special, just like her mama. I clearly had high hopes for this filly; otherwise, I never would have sacrificed riding my dream horse so she could graze in the pastures and raise babies. I’m in awe of this filly and she exceeded my expectations by a mile! What made it even more special was starting her training in front of a few of my long-term students and sharing those special moments during our advance camp today! Choosing to breed Sable was an easy no brainer decision but hard and sad at times, to walk out, yet today made it all worth it. Now I have a whole herd of Sable in the making, and I’m really looking forward to the upcoming fall riding weather and my new four-legged best friend! (I really need to give her a permanent name but the right one hasn’t grabbed me quite yet).

I also added her baby picture, she was born July 8th 2021 🎂

A saying you will hear Tim say often is “when you’re on a horse you won’t have time to get ready to get ready” meaning when something goes wrong you’re either ready or you’re not. He says this referring to your position in the saddle and practice time logged on our ride simulator, but I’m going to take it a step further and apply it to a riders wardrobe.

From time to time, I see riders come in wearing one or multiple of the following: shorts, crop tops, pants with big holes, hoop or dangling earrings, and/or crocs. This makes me cringe inside because I know what potential risks they are exposing themselves to, such as poison ivy, bug bites, scratches, saddle sores, pickers, or getting their earrings or necklace hooked by a branch. All of these risks can be easily avoided with proper attire.

When riding, especially in nature, it is important to aim for maximum skin coverage and avoid wearing things that could get caught by the saddle or a branch.
