Jaxx had a good day Saturday at the herding trial at SheepSmith Farm. This was the first time he was entered in started sheep. He earned a 2nd place,and then he was awarded reserve high in trial with a really nice score of 88. Such a good boy. I would like to thank everyone who helped put this trial together. The judges, the workers, the food prepares, the stock handlers, and especially Cheryl Smith for her awsome Farm and stock and her encouragement in training. The trial was a lot of work, but such a good time. I would especially like to thank Cappy Pruett and Edie Modibo Steiner for not giving up on us. The Legos were in place this day correctly and pushed together as well.

Today we are sad to announce the passing of our cherished family member, loyal companion and protector, Seuss. Seuss has been my shadow, teammate, and loving friend for almost 13 years. He passed away peacefully in his sleep last weekend.
I remember picking him out at just 2 weeks old, he was the first of the litter to sit up and take notice. By 6 weeks I knew he was the one for me.
Seuss was a breed champion, obedience champion, and was working on his agility and rally championships. He competed in sheep herding and duck herding as well. He achieved High In Trials in everything he did. He was the first dog I have ever trained that led us to the coveted OTCH title. In addition to his work ethic, Seuss was always willing to play any game I wanted to play.
But more importantly, Seuss was a beloved family member. He was gentle, loving, affectionate and always willing to please. He was always at my side, ready to do anything I asked, and always there to protect me. He was also my service dog, and acted as my ears and eyes.
Seuss was so dearly loved, and we will miss him.
If there is one consolation, I know now that there is a new angel above that will be looking down upon me and protecting me for the rest of time.

We had our Christmas party last night. It was wonderful spending time, remembering the year .and setting goals for next year. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by great friends and special dogs. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful safe healthy new year.

Hi to all my dog friends. You all helped me find a Labrador puppy for my son, your insite and recommendations were spot on.
Now, I need help finding a dog for my mother. She lost her sheltie unexpectedly and now is ready for a new friend. Requirements are not a puppy, housebroken, good with grandkids, good with other dogs in family ( doesn't need to play,but tolerate dogs) 15 to 35 lbs. I know,lots of wishes. My mom has a fenced in yard and lives in Flemingsburg Ky( north eastern KY, about 2 hours from Cincinnati ). She's in her early eighties and healthy and lives alone. We are looking for a companion to keep her company.
Possibly a pet whos owner no longer can keep, or maybe a retired breeder. I live in Michigan about 30 minutes north of ann arbor. I've mentioned this to a few people in passing, but now we need to expand the search. Thanks for helping us!

Today I am proud to announce that Seuss earned his OTCH (Obedience Champion) title on Sunday. I want to thank all of my friends, teachers and supporters for all of your invaluable love, support, and encouragement. First of all, thank you Ann Mackay and Cheryl Smith, Seuss’ breeders, for producing such a wonderful dog. I want to thank my instructor, Moe Foley, for her insights, encouragement, and phenomenal instruction. Additionally, I want to thank my other friends and instructors: Linda Brady, Jennifer Wagner Durocher, Pat Heinzelman and Sue Berres, who were also a great help along the way. Also thanks to my wonderful husband, for his encouragement and understanding, and for watching the puppies while Seuss and I worked. Finally, I want to thank Suess, my trusting, loyal companion, for his infinite dedication, loyalty, and hard work, which allowed me to make this dream come true. For those who want to watch, here is a video of our Utility B first place win that put us over the top to win our OTCH.

Great day at show in novi today. Seuss was first in utility b,then tied for first in open b with Adel. Had a run off and we squeaked by with a win. So,first in utility,first in open,high combined,high in trial, 12 otch points, udx leg #7, finished his obedience master title . Agility was fun,but he decided that he really doesn't have to do all of those weaves, he gets to pick and choose which ones. Thanks to everyone there,especially judge Kathleen Cook. Fun and enjoyable!!!
Congratulations goes out to Janet and too who got first place in open a for her first leg. Woo woo

We had a great weekend showing at companion dog training club in Flint
Seuss earned two 1st places in utility two 4th places in open, two UDX legs, two high combined, and 32 otch points. He tried really hard, what a good boy.

So proud of Janet and Tino. This weekend at Monroe County Kennel Club they qualified all three days in rally Advanced and excellent to earn three more RAE legs. Congratulations and job well done

Had an awesome weekend at Monroe County Kennel Club. On Friday we got another UDX leg. Then on Saturday and Sunday he earned two High In Trials , and even a few otch points. Saturday with a score of 199.5, and Sunday with a score of 198.5. I'd like to thank Judge Jim Ham for such a great experience in the ring. Thanks to everyone who helps with advice and moral support. So much appreciated. I have a wonderful partner in the ring, love that Suess.
