We hate turning people away! Our staff will often go the extra mile to make sure you don't have to wait for a grooming appt or miss a last minute opportunity to board with us so you can get away.

We cannot emphasize this enough, though. Please prebook. Pre-booking is always encouraged for grooming and keeps your cost lower. Pre-booking for boarding isn't always possible, but even if you "think" you might be away, as long as you give us 24 hours notice... you can always cancel! That way you don't run the risk of us having to turn you away on busy weekends or holidays.

With that said: As strange as this sounds, we're already getting holiday boarding requests and next weekend is nearly full 💕
Plan ahead so we don't have to feel bad 😬

We carry Gracie's Doggie Delights! A healthy, natural, one ingredient (meat!) treat that dogs literally go crazy for. It's one of the only things we offer our boarding, daycare and grooming guests (free!)... and it might be the biggest reason dogs are so excited to come see us ;) 🤫

We're making some updates to our grooming services and schedules!

Krystyne: I'm nearly Master Certified and am changing my availability slightly so I have time to compete next year. After many years and careful consideration, I'm also no longer taking aggressive dogs. I respectfully ask that all my full groom and de-shed dogs remain on the recommended schedule (4 to 10 weeks max). Doodles should stay on a 6-8 week schedule depending on their coats and amount of home maintenance they receive. I'm beginning to limit my large dog clientele.

Aaron: Aaron is UNavailable while he recovers from surgery (all of September) and will have full groom options added to his services (on a case-to-case basis) when he returns! He's eager to continue his grooming education and will have more availability in the near future.

Bath Technicians: Most of our kennel staff are also thoroughly trained bath techs. They are proficient in baths, short haired de-sheds, nails and ear care. Bath Tech is now added as a "groomer" in the software with 3 options: Basic Bath, Short Haired De-shed and Nails.

Self Wash: Self Wash is open on limited days and unfortunately it varies based on if there is a groomer working in that space. The Self Wash bathing system is pretty great and easy to use, but nothing beats having a pro do it ;) and our rates are pretty affordable.

We now offer FREE Daycare for grooming clients. Choose Grooming Daycare in addition to your grooming service. Drop offs are 8:30am or 12:30pm (with a little flexibility).

At Soapy Puppy, we LOVE cats! We board, foster and groom cats 🐈

Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday... we're offering FREE walk-in cat nail trims from 12-3pm. We'd like to show you that cat nails are easily maintained either at home or by us. De-clawing is incredibly inhumane and can cause a lifetime of discomfort. We require current rabies vaccination for nail trims and grooming. Please bring verification with you and bring your cat in a carrier. 😺

We won't get into all the details publicly, but we agreed to care for a dog in an emergency (with an understanding)... and we were lied to.

We've loved having 3 year old Bolt as our guest for 2.5 months but he is officially ours now and we need to start looking for his forever home. He is neutered, is very sweet, but he's reactive to other dogs at times... unsure about cats. He's part heeler so he has some quirks. If you'd like to meet Bolt, please contact us through messenger. He'd do well in an indoor/outdoor environment where he gets plenty of snuggles and freedom to run.

We made a new friend 🐾 Meet Daisy!

School starts in just a couple weeks! We have the best daycare crew right now and we're adding a few new puppies when school starts. We're so excited that we're extending our limited daycare package deal until Labor Day!

11 days of daycare for only $150! 😲 Use as needed. Our system keeps track for you. Not transferable.

Reminder: No daycare Sept 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th and 11th.

Soapy Puppy will be closed for grooming and daycare between Sept 4th and the 11th (returning on the 12th). Boarding guests will be cared for by kennel staff 💕 but hours of operation will be a bit different. Daycare is available Tues the 3rd and Thurs and Friday (the 12th and 13th) of the following week.

I will be gone some of that week (furthering my grooming education!) and Aaron, our kennel manager, has surgery on Sept 5th. His recovery will take several weeks, so his grooming schedule is closed for Sept. Send him all your happy speedy recovery thoughts! He is miles away from family, so we want to shower him with care while he recovers.

We'll also be taking that time to go through our software. It's overdue and it's something Aaron can do while he's bedridden 😆 We inherited the software so several accounts are inactive. If you have an inactive account, it will be deleted. If you need to update your vaccination record, please take the time to do that. You can either upload them directly into your account or have your vet send the updated record to soapypuppysbnb@gmail. If you don't have an updated record, we won't be able to offer services. If you have questions about what's required, message us. Please consider updating your account by adding photos of your pets, also. We are going to start doing that on our end as well 🐾

We're proud to trade services/products. I've been paid in cleaning, art, building, yard work, produce, decor and more. If you are interested in helping in exchange for Soapy Puppy credit (good for all services and products) we are in need of some important things!

🐾 Someone who knows chain link. We are modifying the majority of our back enclosures, including cutting posts by 6 to 12 inches and rechaining (if that's a word 😆).

🐾 Someone who likes yard work. We have some w**d issues and we HATE yard work.

🐾 Patio cushions, deck/dock pieces and a table top large enough to create a washer/dryer counter. Needs to be solid, over 54" long but we're refinishing it so it doesn't need to look great.

🐾 People who like painting :) (Boring painting, not the artsy kind)

🐾 Artists who'd like to help us create safe chain link/privacy art. We've seen some fun things, but don't have the time or funds to get THAT creative. I'd love to hear your ideas.

We love supporting our community. Soapy Puppy is very much a community business. We are constantly trying to find ways to include and give back 💕 We're still working on our dream (honoring our son) and would love your help. The current economy is tough. Time literally IS money 💵

One of our very regular and beloved guests is moving (maybe temporarily). She's named after the Norse Goddess, Idunn.

Our new employee has a dog named after the Norse God, Bragi.

"In Norse mythology, Idunn and Bragi are married, with Idunn being the goddess of spring and rejuvenation and Bragi being the god of poetry."

Today they met for the first time. We think that's pretty freaking cool. 💕🐾
